Nice demo! Very well done and explained in a simple straightforward manner. I remember seeing your demo on tippe tops several years ago. It looks like you have it mastered now! Also thanks for mentioning me in the demo. Neal
Glad you finally met sucess in the world of tippy tops. A year ago I also added a small ball bearing to help bring the center of gravity downwards and it's worked great ever since. These are fun little projects but can be very finiky if the world of Physics is not just so so.
I have made a number of tops with wood turned launchers but have never made a tippy top. Like other people have said, where does the ball bearing go? Well done Alan.
Do I assume the ball bearing goes in the bottom of the peg hole? I like your launcher. That is something I would need too. Fun project. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

Thanks for reinforcing the bearing concept.

Congratulations, Alan. You did it!

Thank you - it took me long enough. :)

I've added that information in the description.
Meanwhile, just for fun, where could a ball bearing be inserted in a tippy top? :)

Yes it does. I cannot think of any alternative. :)
Alan
I'm quite interested in your launcher design. I don't quite understand how it works. Do you have more detail posted somewhere? Thank you.
Hey Alan, You didn't say or show where the ball bearing goes or info about the launcher. Nice top I like it. Thanks
I've added it to the description.
BTW. In the handle hole.
Alan
