I just thought the same thing. To me he is the greatest boxer of my knowledge. I had a VHS tape years ago when I was a kid. He talked about his history of riding trains with hobos then fighting anyone that wanted to challenge him. They have records of him knocking out 6 people in one night. Imagine the fights they didn't know about and he still had 140 some knock outs. Very amazing man.
Archie Moore was awesome. Though there are some similarities, we think this is distinct. The structure is a "false lead" (opposite foot and shoulder forward), the elbow of the top arm points and the bottom forearm is perpendicular.
Loved Foreman, and Archie Moore from whom he got it, but though there are some similarities in what we do, we do think this is distinct. The structure is a "false lead" (opposite foot and shoulder forward), the elbow of the top arm points and the bottom forearm is perpendicular.
In the Ali Vs Frazier fight he lands some solid hooks using same guard.
George Foreman, also used a similar structure for many years.
This reminds me of Archie Moore Cross guard
