- In this tutorial I show you how to wrap a stone or a cabochons with macrame. This is using the looping technique and will be the first in a series of tutorials on how to wrap a stone or cabochon with macrame. Please feel free to give it a go yourself and I hope you enjoy.

This is the first tutorial I ever watched when curious about macrame 4 yrs or so ago. Since then I've not looked back and have made so many pieces using this style and others. This is a great tutorial! I have been making hemp neclackes for years, but never knew how to wrap stones with hemp, only wire. The first tutorial I looked up was this style, but the narrator lost me when she got to the part involving the stone... this content creator is much more thorough and articulate! I finally figired it out and wrapped my first stone with hemp!!
I have to say that I am enjoying learning macrame by using your tutorials. I am guessing that either you do not have cats or that you lock them in a different room while you make your creations. My cats are always "helping" me with the ends of the cords. It is a joy to watch them play again as they are 11 years old and I thought that playfulness was gone. So, you are helping three uh...aging creatures with your tutorials, me and both of my cats!
I just have to say that you are the best teacher by far that I’ve found! You explain it really well and hand placement is great. I have made some beautiful pieces from following your tutorials. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Fantastic! Thank you so much, I just wrapped my magnifying glass that had a broken frame & handle with some thickish waxed cotton and I wear it round my neck. The weave also doubles as protection if I drop it! Coolie doolie!

Thank you for posting this-I've had no end of trouble trying to wrap beads and you made this SO easy! I've decided to finish mine off using a "shambala" pattern using some lovely pink toho beads that work with the abilone bead I was beginning to fear I'd have no use for.

Thank you very much for a clear well explained video, and a beautiful result! I like to brush the ends of my satin cords with clear quick drying nail polish, it only takes about 15 minutes to dry (not 60 seconds that they claim!) and then it is much easier to thread the cords through the loops and add beads etc. as the ends have become stiff. I love your videos!!!

I have a few mini-Alpha Spin and I don't want to cover it with platinum and use gold/platinum chain cos it might be dangerous outside if somebody wants to get it from me. It's not safe in my country but I want to use mini-Alpha Spin necklace. I've been looking for someone who can help me make something to wrap it with cheap material but look pretty and cool so i can wear it all the time as my necklace. But i couldn't find anybody who can help me with my matter for months until i find this video.
Just want to say thank you very much for making this video, i enjoyed it very much, very detail and easy to follow. It would be more helpful if u finished it and let us see the "completed work" at the last part of the video, instead of saying "how" to finish it. I am a video follower or a beginner so I still have no idea how to finish at the end, i just tied it up to finish it.
