It's nice that tactile is putting out more models for more people. I'm sure they will keep them right hand carry only and offer lefty models since it's something they can easily offer.
I could have picked one kf these up but it was during one kf the weeks where I'd already acquired too many so I left it go. Still want one eventually though.
I really like the design, I just keep hearing about TT QC issues which is why I don't have any TT knives. I like that they keep plugging away at it, though. More options for the customer is always better. I'd be really interested in someone testing the HRC to see if it holds up to the claims.
How’s that “pull tab”/lock release thing feel compared to the We and Civivi versions of this lock which I can’t stand. I found those extremely uncomfortable to disengage and got rid of my We Vision R. Tried a friends Civivi’s (he has multiple) and I didn’t like them either unfortunately. If this is better I’d consider trying it. I haven’t tried the Demko to compare but I’ve heard it feels fairly different to the Visions so I’m considering trying a full size AD20 at some point. Edit: I commented as I watched... my question has at least been partially answered but I’d love to hear more opinions and thoughts on this.
The lockbar tab on this Chub is thicker, so it’s more comfortable in that regard, but it’s also shallower which makes it less comfortable. Overall about the same. Haha
@@doodysdaggers thanks for the reply man, I think I’ll give it a miss. May still try and get my hands on an AD20 but that will have to wait. Just bought two Hinderer XM-18 Bowies - on me flipper, the other a non-flipper as well as finally scoring a great deal on a Malibu which I’ve wanted to try for ages (your videos on it pushed me over the edge and it was just a matter of time). Cheers.
I got one and really like the design but am returning it as I just enjoy carrying it. It weighs too much and unfortunately the superlock on mine isn't so super. It's a pain to close the knife. I love a deep carry clip but man this knife is hard to get out of pocket. No easy way as thee isn't a lanyard hole as backup. It sucks as it's such a beautiful design.
I'm not a huge fan of the Shark lock, but one of those failing a medium spine whack test is totally unheard of, and it's pretty easy to see why when you take one apart and see the lock face contact. The fact that the Super lock was failing easily just from some seemingly small lapse in tolerances is quite disconcerting in my opinion. Gives me the confidence of a plunge button lock.
I have really wanted that shark cub slicer for a while now. It looks so good for a work knife, and prefect for what I want/need. Tactile seems not to have hit their stride yet, they do a lot of things right, but still miss the mark. I'm hoping they make a knife that I want a lot, I'd love to buy a US made knife from them some day.
I kinda like this one, a little bit like the Vision FG in shape and function. I'm a little excited, we just had a 4+ earthquake. Have a good day Doody.
@doodysdaggers Yeah, little ones are but I was on an island in the southern Indian Ocean many years ago and it wasn't recorded but it was at least 7 on the scale. 😬😵💫
And the fantastic MagnaCut in 63-64 HRC compares to the Demco steel... how? This factor is important to a portion of knife enthusiasts. Demco seems to do everything but the blade steel. Too bad.
Owner is a lefty apparently but he told me on Reddit that lefty options are not "economically" viable for them. A bit of bullshit IMO, but that's the excuse they're running with.
@@iNViSiBiLiTi small company, need a separate mill and operator to run lefty milling operations and lefty clips! tbh if 10% are leftys he is not losing much business.
I think its a better knife than the demko’s by a long shot overall except for sliding off the locking mechanism. It should be slopped up instead of slopped down.
I like the design but i can't justify that kinda money for a knife. I don't get it? As long as people let these companies overprice production knives nothing will change. Nothing about this knife is anything special. I bet a proper done 14c28n and people couldn't tell the difference.
The chupacabra already failed it being hit a stick ooh it not cheap so my next community do your research do your Intel before we put down a hard work money check other sites like I do
Sorry if this sounds rude or entitled, but could you consider washing your hands before shooting videos? I was distracted by some smoots under your fingernail for half the video. You don’t need to manicure your nails or anything, just having stuff underneath them is kind of gross. If you don’t that’s fine, I’ll still watch your videos if it looks interesting. I’ll just get used to it if you don’t want to.
Thinking about it, you could totally turn this around by doing a video where your hands are covered in runny mud. Handling expensive knives like that, getting them dirty would be hilarious.
I was highly impressed with this design from Tactile. Truly feel like it is a big step up for them. Thanks for checking it out man.

I am going to ask if they can make me a few lefties

Been looking for a nice breakdown of this knife. Feels super out of left field but also super exciting!

Killer blade shape! Have a good day buddy 🤘
Been wanting to try this one
They are nice!
Damn I was hoping for a cut test! Maybe you’ll get one down the line and get to test it.

That's the only demko I think looks good Still don't have one yet, though it's on the list
What’s the only Demko that looks good?

The Shark Cub is excellent!
I definitely want that knife so cool.
I’m interested in one but gonna wait until they work out all the kinks
The Demko definitely has more character... I'll take both!

Oh wow! Earthquakes are exciting

I wish they would but at the same time the blade is soooo thick I just don’t even care
9:20 lmao "shark's foot"
It's basically the we/civivi vision with magnacut but minus the holes in scales, blade and added thumbstuds . Oh a name change
Pretty much yeah
So completely different then, got it.
@@Stahlwerk88 lol 🤣🤣🤣 nah mostly same
Picked up a Chupacabra.
Personally, I'd stick with the civivi or demko. Steel and hrc aside.
You're pretty good too dood. Take care.
Very nice 👌
The whole reason I havent bought the Chupacabra is that flipper.
Another ambi lock without a lefty clip option from Tactile. I am convinced they hate lefties. 😂🤣
Haha yeah they must

someone buy doody a new ruler...

Crazy that Tactile needs early batch customers to beta test their knives for them smh.
