That punisher is peak 👌 Keep using Walmart exclusive retro venom Keep using warbird/phoenix/black widow articulated buck. (you have it, use it, abuse it)
One thing I said about the Cloth capes/ wired capes, they should definitely be standard for all comic characters, but the mcu and animated and gamerverse figures can keep the plastic capes, if they wanna add wired capes to certain mcu animated and gamerverse figures than that’s fine, but I think Comic figures should have them standard! That way it can have an overall balance for Hasbro
Definitely agree on the wired capes and adding in a QR code for a digital comic, but I do not want them to bring back variants. I want to just be able to get the figure I want without worry. If I could suggest something, bring back the “Marvel Legends” stands that came with the 20th anniversary figures. And to tie that in to one of your other suggestions, since those stands have that slot for a cardboard backdrop, have the QR code printed on them, and have the comic cover art be that of the included code
I have an idea to make ML shine- make more figures with set pieces/vehicles. Among my favorite figures of 2024 was Danny Ketch Ghost Rider w/ bike and Kang w/ his chair. Most of us want to display these figures in authentic ways, but we have to go outside of the line to find things like diorama pieces.
I like the Cloth Cape and Comic included idea guys, the only problem with variants is that apparently it was stopped due to Amazon - which was unhappy with customers ordering a figure online, and possibly receiving a variant to the figure shown for sale, so apparently Amazon is the reason for a change to variants.
Excellent topic, Jordan & Dakota I like your three points. Here is mine: A joint venture between Hasbro and Ikea. It would be awesome that we could buy shelves with quality Marvel (and Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe, etc) backgrounds. All kind of sizes, designs and options (even lighting) for customize easily our houses/toy rooms. Imagine a shelve that looks like the X Mansion, another the Baxter building, Daily Bugle or Nova Prime. It would be awesome imho. Cheers 🎉
If the Renew Your Vows Spider-Man torso articulation, toe articulation, the Punisher body, the Warbird/Phoenix/Power Princess and the premium compound head sculpts (Iron-Fist) aren't standard in the line from this point on, then Hasbro is doomed anyway. No more excuses. G.I.Joe Classified has way more detailed sculpt work and superior articulation for the same price from the same company. Make it make sense? Hasbro puts more love into their own brand than the other. EVERY Classified figure has butterfly joints no matter the size or sculpt. Marvel Legends is still behind Marvel Universe as it stands. I'm going to stop my rant so that i don't infuriate all of the collecting community. We deserve better 😔
Awesome video guys - thanks for the discussion. For me, I would like to see Hasbro add paint to their figures. More paint then just on the head sculpt. With more paint I would like to see ML return to what they used to do very well yet have fallen off for the last couple of years - more villains. Finally the last thing I would like to see ML do is retire those age old bucks they've mutated into pin-less. Thanks for your efforts with this one, it was "REALLY" good.
I feel like the use for the old bodies needs to be the hard core D list characters that don't have as much appeal. More paint would be cool since they do such a good job on the heads why not blow our minds by painting more on the rest of the figures.
@ well I guess it depends on the character for me. Bigger bulkier characters no but like spiderman sabertooth the new wolfsbane quicksilver etc just need it
I would rather have double ball joint torsos but I have a bit of a conspiracy theory as to why they haven't integrated that articulation in Legends yet. Basically because Mafex has the Marvel license, I think that limits what Legends can do. If you think about it, if Legends is offering a figure with the same amount of articulation but at a third of the price of a Mafex figure, why would I go for the Mafex then? That's just what I think may or may not be true but it makes sense to me.
I think the QR code comics are all but confirmed to be happening with the new wave that's getting revealed later today . Its a good idea though and one I believe should become a regular feature to not only increase the perceived value per dollar of MLs , but also to increase readership of comics in general .
Yeah huge disagree on that last part, the last thing Legends or the collecting hobby in general needs is more variants. And the whole "value" aspect is BS because of the person that shot that idea in the foot: Todd McFarlane. He has been making variants of his figures since the beginning and if you look up the price of those chase variants from 20 years ago, they're cheap as hell. Time is the enemy of variants, sure if there's a DC Multiverse variant that's expensive on the aftermarket now it'll be expensive for a while but in 20 years when newer and better things come out? Not likely. Plus that just entices scalpers to do what scalpers do and with the advent of the direct online market, chase variants are a thing of the past and I wish the current people still making them would stop.
Im hoping the ultimate packs are a way of giving improvemed sculpts and articulation at mafex level by limiting the amount per year and only A Listers.
I feel like I remember them saying something about not doing doc ock bendy wire tentacles because of being a kids product so I guess maybe it’s something like that. But then they also made the bendy wire tentacles not long after
As somone who doesn’t really buy to many marvel legends I will say that these ideas are perfect and would absolutely reel me in like wired capes huge W coming with digital comics saved to like your own little account on a marvel app? Huge W and yess variants would also be a huge W. My idea is that every figure should come with a base set of hands like every figure should come with some fist some open hands grabbing hands and then any special hands that a certain character might need but ik some legends be lacking with the hand accessories like I was looking at the older legends human torch and it only comes with 1 fist and 2 like weird hands idk I forgot but it suck bc I want a human torch but I really don’t like mezco and the older legends human torch just has no accessories but yea amazing ideas!! Hopefully hasbro listens 🤞🏼🙏🏼
A lot of us got into comics because of the media, comics, movies, cartoons. If they don’t have the media or media people will look at it’s gonna hurt the line. Then that will hurt the quality.
Hasbro tip: Teenage boy buck: 1st appearance spidey Teenage girl buck: throw away everything, they're all bad, create a brand new one with 80th black widow articulation. Skinny/young male buck: ryv spidey Female base buck: phoenix/warbird/black widow articulated bucks Tall male: Vulcan (if you add diaphragm that's a bonus!) Larger male: new 2 pack punisher Larger female: she hulk/titania/power princess Extra large male: new Walmart retro venom Other sizes: Hercules, etc Hasbro you have all these bucks in hand, use or lose it 👌
They either just put those out or do use them quite a bit. I think we’re going to get to see those new bodies reused this year and I’m excited to see how.
One way to save legends is stop making so many exclusive store based figure just make all figures regular releases and do like two comic-con box sets like how they did years ago
I don’t know for sure but I’m guessing having store exclusive figures really helps keep them at retail. I definitely would like to see Target get more those figures though.
Well, I'm gonna say 1not as many releases, 2 paint everywhere it is needed,3 release figures in a more uniform way, like for instance don't release a team by putting that figure in said team and having it only be that one forever. I mean there's how many teams/groups etc?giant size era X-Men is done, the Jim Lee era is already finished. Excalibur,I know they're technically almost done with that set just hafta release Rachel summers Phoenix. Sorry for babbling at ya. Take care gentlemen.💯❤️
if marvel legends can have something like maestro union did with the werewolf you are able to change body parts like torso etc would be awsome obiously would be more money but will be awsome to have like a battle damage joe fixit or immortal hulk and so on or a wolverine ttoo.
Idk man. A few things clicked in my head recently about marvel legends that really turned me off. I got my hands on the recent No Way Home Spidey single card releases and realized how bare the packages were. The unmasked heads are nice but to have all the hand options you would have had to buy the older three pack which didn’t have unmasked heads at all. Neither the 3 pack or the single cards have web effects. Effectively, if you wanted a Tobey Spidey with all the heads, hands and some web effects you would have to buy 3 separate figures. At that point you might as well spend the extra money on the import. You’d get more hand options and effects too. I recently made the switch to MAFEX and even though the prices are steep it just feels good to know that that one purchase is basically a definitive version with multiple heads, hands and effects. Running around stressing over FOMO finding $25 figures just doesn’t seem worth the hassle anymore when you realize how incomplete they actually are. P.s. Classic red and blue Spidey suit is still way too hard to find, Hasbro.
@ I’d re-buy an entire wave with a baf even if every character was redone Venomized Can never have too many Venomized characters! We got that Venom cap a while back too and the Deadpool, let’s add to the list!
More accessories and alternate head options, let the window packages look like what G.I. Joe packages look like... that Rogue/Destiny two pack for example was ridiculous. It could have come with a crossbow (Like MCU Baron Mordo has, so they have the mold) along with an alt head to tie her into Krakoa era. But no, Hasbro knows it will sell because its Destiny and they know that you need her to complete your Brotherhood, its shameful and shame on us as collectors for letting them get away with it.
Hard NO on the variants. A big reason I don’t collect Macfarlanes is the ridiculously overwrought complexity with tracking down specific variants of figures. There’s hunting and there’s DaVinci Code/National Treasure hunting and we ain’t got that kind of time.
What I want is a dedicated cosmic BAF wave. Annihilation Guardians for an example. My main issue with Legends for years is the focus on the X-Men and Spider-Man. Of course they sell well, but WE need more areas of Marvel covered
I think that’s the challenging balance they have to play. Make character that are more deep cuts that we don’t have but in order to have a line to do that they have to stay afloat with the bread and butter.
How they can approve? 1. Stop using old bucks from 10 years ago 2. Improve articulation, gi joe's classified series started way after you, why are they way ahead of you? 3. Actually care about the figures 4. Use more paint such as wash or dry brush, you've done it in the past, it's possible.
I’m trying to think of some of the figures I got this past year that could have used a dry brush and I’m nothing thinking of any that I was upset that didn’t come with it. Which are you thinking of because I’m sure there are some.
For years as I threw those crappy plastic crappy capes into the garbage hascrap has ruined the world with the plastic refuse they've been pushing with those extra plastic glut crap!!!😂
Well, although the idea with the comic books sounds good, I highly doubt that this will work with Hasbro's current product policy. Cross promotion between comics and action figures is a viable marketing strategy since decades (and still is at DC/McFarlane Toys), but it requires that both products are coordinated. And Hasbro hardly makes any current comic characters. Even the last two BAF-waves (we are not even talking about the retro waves) have only four charakters (Wolverine, Spider Boy, Agent Venom an Elektro) from currently available comic books, the rest is from video games, old animated shows/recreations of old toy lines or crap comics from the past (clone saga, secret wars etc.). So which comic book should you add either digitally or as an actual book? If You would add the related comic books to the "crap from the past" figures, there is no incentive to read futher, as a) you can get those stories at best in quite expensive omnibusses or digital with a - not exactly low-threshold - subscription and b) these comics can't hold up to modern standarts, so no one who, as a grown up new reader, will read f.e. X-Men Vol.2 #1 (from a Fabian Cortez figure), will ever touch a comic book again (as it is so bad). In this case it would even be counterproductive for the licensor to include a comic book. Hasbro aims with their product line almost exclusively on nostalgics who haven't read those comics in the last 30 years and just remember that they liked them, when they were a kid I started reading comic books in the 70s with Superman and Batman and when I recently got the volumes back into my hands and read them, I shuddered. If I hadn't been an adult comic reader before, I would never have become one. The interest of the licensor is therefore rather to leave the sins of the past hidden in thick and expensive anthologies especially for nostalgics.
Count me out on soft goods capes in general. They just don't look like fabric at this smaller scale. They don't fall right, they bunch up, they end up looking like diapers or dishrags tacked to the figure. If they wanted to do 2 capes (a soft goods and a plastic cape) on deluxe figures that would make sense. Obviously if they do make soft goods they should be wired. But so many of the McFarlane cape material and wires are so thick they are more cumbersome than any plastic cape. I think to do it right you really have to get it to a much higher price point like the import companies. Even then they often don't really work as often as not.
THANK YOU❣️ Cloth capes are so over-rated! 2 capes would be the best of both worlds. Cloth has been around since dolls were invented. Barbie dolls have better looking cloth goods than any MEZCO, HASBRO or MCFARLANE figures and they don't cost anymore because of the Cloth. You can get a 12" doll with similar articulation to a Legends figure with a couple outfits for $25. We should get more for a 6" figure 🤦🏾♂️
We don’t really expect them to be at that level. But I’d also love to hear from them why they aren’t closer to that level. If you someone doing better, why not try to cut into their market and be just as good or closer.
Marvel legends look like 15 dollar figures bro. Just look at the Jada Toys Street fighter figs. That should be the standard for figs in that price range.
500 MORE SUNFIRE BODY MOLDS 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈 no but seriously Use that new Warbird/Black Widow body. Or implement the waist and torso joint system used in Spider-Man india to more figures. easier and more simple than the reverse ab crunch + ball joint system hasbro has
Sorry, but I hated ALL those ideas. Wired/cloth caps, fine. BUT for more MONEY? HELL NO! Don't needed that bad. Digital comic... not a horrible idea. But you can do that already. UNLESS.... It's an issue of a comic that you can ONLY GET when you buy the toy. Variants... Absolutely not! They are already giving us too many repaints, different costumes, and re-makes of the same character as is. Definitely don't want them to waste more time, money and thoughts on something that they can put into making NEW, NEVER MADE characters.
I thought that the last bad wave was about 50/50 figures I wanted figures I didn’t. Most of the time I actually don’t want to want every figure because I don’t want to pay that much.
There is no distinction between marvel legends fans and marvel legends haters. They are the same group. Please Hasbro give these perpetual complainers what they want and let the marvel legends license go. Nothing is worse than making toys or any products for a group of punk assholes who hate everything.
We can save them by NOT defending them all the time. If we cut down on buying their crappy products then they’ll have no choice BUT to increase the quality and put more effort into their product. (Assuming they still want to make money) *starting to implant wired capes would be a great start also! Nice choice
I agree, I don’t want to pay $30 for a spiderman figure, might as well just get the CT toys version lol. I’d rather buy a bootleg mafex figure than a marvel legends
@ I’d pay $30 for a well done Spider-Man marvel legends with shading, clean paint, good accessories, good sculpt, modern articulation. The only time hasbro ever did this was with the amazing fantasy first appearance retro spidey. That’s the best spidey figure they ever released and it was $25. Every legends figure should come with that much in the package every single time. That’s the last marvel legends I ever bought
I would love it if they brought back chase variants. I also think that Hasbro should include more paint on their figures. ToyBiz figures look so good still today bc of the detailed paintwork. I wish Hasbro would start putting some of the budget into that.
Step 1: Keep using the Vulcan body
Step 2: Keep using the Punisher body
Step 3: Keep using the Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) body
I’m interested to see what comes next on the punisher body
That punisher is peak 👌
Keep using Walmart exclusive retro venom
Keep using warbird/phoenix/black widow articulated buck. (you have it, use it, abuse it)
Scratch that step 1, step 2 is literally the upgrade of that, we can demand more. Step 1 should be a new jada street fighter level articulated body
More villians ,more characters that we never saw in figure form
I think last year was a good balance of worthy updates and new figures.
Seems I'm not the only one that thought about Legends Chase Variants 😂 take note Mr Who!
During that live stream you kept coming up with ideas and I was trying to think who was leaking our episode?
One thing I said about the Cloth capes/ wired capes, they should definitely be standard for all comic characters, but the mcu and animated and gamerverse figures can keep the plastic capes, if they wanna add wired capes to certain mcu animated and gamerverse figures than that’s fine, but I think Comic figures should have them standard! That way it can have an overall balance for Hasbro
idk i still do actually like the looks of plastic capes and wouldn't want them to go away totally from comic figures.
I'm not too keen on Hasbro opening up a Pandora's box doing variants. I love the thing about a digital comic with a figure, like a Page Punchers.
Yeah it would be tricky to pull off the variant idea
I want more finishing up of classic teams, especially obscure villains.
True. I think that’s part of their game to keep us hooked.
Oh that’s a good idea. I like the 20th forward and back art cards but you’re right that would be a great placement for the code.
That’s a good idea. Idk if I’d want to pay the extra on a lot but there are some that would be great to come like that. Really make them shine.
That makes sense. I’ve heard of people doing that with dc figures. Maybe it would have to be a non refundable pulse thing if it were to work.
The line doesn’t need saving 💀😂😂 but I do want all of these things to be implemented
I agree. Just had to think of a way to get out my suggestions
The jokerized equivalent would be venomized! Bring it on hasbro
i'm up for more venomized figures.
Excellent topic, Jordan & Dakota
I like your three points. Here is mine:
A joint venture between Hasbro and Ikea.
Cheers 🎉
Wow that would be an amazing team up.
No more waist swivel!
Really? I’ve never minded it.
@thestrongcollectors it looks terrible unless covered by a belt.
Yeah I’d like to see the waist done like GI Joe classified / Jada street fighter figures
I'm going to stop my rant so that i don't infuriate all of the collecting community. We deserve better 😔
The comic book idea is rumored, (I can’t remember if it was DDMB or Jay C)
But we might be getting a whole wave of comic book figures tomorrow
Awesome video guys - thanks for the discussion. For me, I would like to see Hasbro add paint to their figures. More paint then just on the head sculpt. I want diorama packs
That was one we considered adding in. I wonder if enough people would be interested to make it work
More accessories, toe articulation is a must at this point, soft goods here on out with wire capes.
100% agreed!!
I still prefer not having toe joints most of the time.

the digital comic idea is dope
Thank you I’d love to see it.
Guess they never listen, since Jean Grey X-Factor is lacking of boots, we need to remember that Hasbro isn't an action figure company.
A lot of us got into comics because of the media, comics, movies, cartoons. If they don’t have the media or media people will look at it’s gonna hurt the line. Then that will hurt the quality.
Hasbro tip:
Teenage boy buck: 1st appearance spidey

Larger female: she hulk/titania/power princess
Extra large male: new Walmart retro venom
Other sizes: Hercules, etc
Hasbro you have all these bucks in hand, use or lose it 👌
They either just put those out or do use them quite a bit. I think we’re going to get to see those new bodies reused this year and I’m excited to see how.
Three strong ideas nice
Thank you. At least I like them all.
No chase please
That’s probably for the best but I think it could be a new layer we don’t have. It could go bad quick though.

Idk man. A few things clicked in my head recently about marvel legends that really turned me off.
15:15 what about just venomized
I’d actually like that.
@ I’d re-buy an entire wave with a baf even if every character was redone Venomized
Can never have too many Venomized characters!
We got that Venom cap a while back too and the Deadpool, let’s add to the list!
All great ideas
Glad you like them!
I feel like the price goes crazy on them right away but then goes down over time.
Not into the chase variants.. And marvel legends answer to Jokerized could be Venomized
Maybe we need an episode on venomized.

ryan was saying the unlimited app is only available in the us. idk why that is

@@demetricsmith471 lies
Stop using decade old body molds
Stop using pinned body molds
Include more accessories
They are $25 figures what the hell do you all want because it's never going to be Mafex level stuff 😂
That should be the standard for figs in that price range.
if deadpool saved mcu, it can save marvel legends again. release deadpool wolverine characters in 2 waves cassandra nova as baf
Did the first round sell out quick? I wasn’t interested in them so I didn’t pay attention.
@@thestrongcollectors maybe because elektra, deadpool, gambit, x23, nicepool, thor, wasnt available
More box sets. Start with phoenix 5.
YES! Bring on Phoenix 5
I think variants in moderation with unique looks could work for the line
True. I would like it to be rare. For sure not every figure.
sells the rights to the Toddster.
First: Hell, Second: Naw Third: Hell Naw
Might have more luck with the select line now that they’re bankrupt
500 MORE SUNFIRE BODY MOLDS 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈
no but seriously Use that new Warbird/Black Widow body. Or implement the waist and torso joint system used in Spider-Man india to more figures. easier and more simple than the reverse ab crunch + ball joint system hasbro has
First, where’s my cookie?
Ask Jordan. We can’t keep cookies on hand because I eat them all immediately
Waist swivel is terrible. It breaks the silhouette. Rid of it
Sorry, but I hated ALL those ideas.
More comics is always good. Comic shops need any impetus for new readers.
Stop making BAF waves that are mostly garbage characters no one asked for.
I hope they don’t loose it any time soon
Or just replace Dwight and the whole design team with a competent team.
I actually really like Dwight
We can save them by NOT defending them all the time. If we cut down on buying their crappy products then they’ll have no choice BUT to increase the quality and put more effort into their product. (Assuming they still want to make money)
*starting to implant wired capes would be a great start also! Nice choice
I mean I think most folks are only buying the things they want and if they don’t want them then they go on clearance
Figures should be 20 bucks. If they use old bodies, especially with no paint, 12 to 15 bucks.
That’s a good point
I can see that if it’s outside of a baf or retro wave. They can’t have prices all over the place at retail.
Stop bashing us with so many wolverines and Spider-Man
It’s at least not as bad as the amount of Batmans from dc multiverse
Marvel got Venomized and then McFarlane came out with Jokerized 🤔
I would actually like to see more venomized figures.
Please NO.
But in all seriousness, more paint, contemporary articulation, better accessories, stop increasing the prices.
Absolutely stop increasing the price
I would love it if they brought back chase variants. I also think that Hasbro should include more paint on their figures. ToyBiz figures look so good still today bc of the detailed paintwork. I wish Hasbro would start putting some of the budget into that.
ToyBiz figures do look pretty cool. So nostalgic.
