I played this course 30 odd years ago on a very blowy day. The opening hole was a par 3 back then. I remember the next two holes, the par 5's. One was downwind and played a drive and a mid iron. The other was directly into the teeth of the wind and was Driver, 4 wood, 6 iron, and a three-quarter wedge 😱 The infrastructure improvements appear to be excellent.
This is definitely on the list, views look amazing as I’m looking for my ball 😂 Think you need to get t-shirts made up with “We’ll take Neals Drive” 😂👍🏻 love it guys!
Thank you for this video, I've been really looking forward to it as I recently became a member of CCC having only played at the wonderful Hayle Golf. I'm still bloody awful and CCC is a baptism of fire compared to Hayle, especially holes 12, 13, 14 and 15 which me and my golf mates lovingly refer to as Mordor.......keep it up, great videos and a great open discussion about mental health, awesome.
Hi Joseph thank you for your comment. Cole and find our new group on Facebook called The Big Oggie Golf Clubhouse. It will allow you to chat with lots of other likeminded people around the area and The Buccaneers
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF It's okay. I've been switched from IV to tablets today. Great to get the tube out of my arm. I asked how do you get an infected knee and the Doc says it can just happen out of the blue. Still bloody hurts but is getting less. I'll take this over a physical injury that takes you out of golf for months. Seems a fair trade to me. Cheers
It’s just the way we do this series. But yes we can do different formats later and we have some new golf games to try out too which should be fun. But thank you for watching.
Thank you for watching tonight’s video. It’s a great series so please watch part two on Wednesday and part three on Friday.

It’s always been a place that has gone through transition on a number of occasions but the owners now are really putting in the effort x
It is always a tough course in the wind. Very exposed in most places. Quite like the new layout with the 2 par 4's to start. Thanks for watching
Great vlog and loving the historical context added!
We have more history in parts two and three x
We attempt to be both entertaining and educational (most of the time)

Good video. Are you going to start playing properly again soon John?
I am getting some confidence back and had a psychiatrist appointment yesterday so things are progressing.
@@BIGOGGIEGOLF well done John. You always come over as being very confident on camera
Could have been worse oggie you could have said I see dead people, more medication please doctor 😅,ps well done guys
Actually my second wife used to speak to dead people in churchyards x
Why dont you make things more interesting , by having to take 4 drives each over the 18 holes .
Really enjoying the challenge.
