4th September 2022 Race 1 Hampton Downs Production Race Series

Race 1 on board the Compact Motorsport Daihatsu Charade GTti for the first meeting of the 22/23 season at Hampton Downs with Production Race Series.
An exiting race meeting for us, kicking off the new Daihatsu Challenge NZ series. Having sold our challenge car that we were building shortly before this meeting (very much unplanned!), an unofficial turbo class was formed, population 2. This made for some great battles with Justin in the newly built Mira turbo, hustling against our old faithful Charade GTti. Justin, having never driven the car before hitting the track, did an incredible job of pedaling the Mira.
Unfortunately for him a camber bolt worked loose in this race making it easy for me to fly by in the Charade but the tides soon turned for races 2 and 3!
After scrubbing in my fresh set of Zestino 07RS race tyres in qualify, I start this race in a humble 17th position and had my work cut out for me in the first couple of laps to catch the front group, finishing the race in 5th position.

thanks mate it was a fun start that's for sure! teach me for napping during quali haha you can add gauges with the GoPro quick app if you turn on GPS in your GoPro... assuming that's what you're using?
