  • This was out trip up to Scotland in a 38kWh Hyundai Ioniq in February 2022. Temps for the journey did not exceed 5 degrees which did have an affect on range. In Summer, you can expect up to 200 miles from the Ioniq but in winter you can expect as low as 130 when it is very cold.
We averaged 4.2 Miles per kWh over the whole journey though which is not shabby at all.

Thanks for this. It’s a journey we were going to do this year before I screwed up the logistics. Next year!

I love these long marathon EV journey videos to nice places using relatively short-range cars. Half the fun of driving now is getting the most out of the range available, finding charging points en route and enjoying the whole experience. My family might disagree though!

The Ioniq make a good cruiser doesn't? I took mine up to Skye last summer and covered around 500 miles pretty effortlessly. Glad you had a good trip guys and enjoy this beautiful country

Well done and thanks for sharing. Great views of Scotland. I have opted for a classic Ioniq though, with longer trips such as this in mind.
