(1) 3mm Leather Cord
(1) 14mm Large Silver Jump Ring
(2) 8mm Small Jump Rings
(2) 9mm Black onyx beads
(2) 8mm White glass pearls
(2) 2mm Crystal bi cone beads

Lovely tutorial! Is it necessary to knot the leather cord two times rather than just making the original lark spur knot ?
Shery Hendricks you don't have to knot 2 times. I did because Im always concerned about how secure it is. 😊
This is really, really elegant and chic. I've been wanting to make an beautiful lariat, and now I'm going to follow your instructions for this one. Did you use a soldered jump ring for the clasp that you put the leather cord onto? I love how you made a Lark's Head Knot to attach the cord to the jump ring. Hi Lisa, sorry about that. To get the length of the necklace in this video you need 44 inches of leather cording.

The cording length is long. I used 40 inches of leather cording. It came in a package at the craft store. One package should be more than enough to make a necklace. I hope this helps :-)
What is the measurement of the cord?
What size leather 1.5 mm, 2 mm? what size beads? 6 mm, 8 mm? Bicones? 4, 6, or 8 mm? It would help to know what you used. Also the length of the leather... 30 inches ? 40 inches? 50?

Hi, you should use a minimum of 40 inches to get a length similar to mine in the video. Mine was between 42-44. I'm tall with a long neck. 😂
