There is a void if you climb high enough in the overworld, which we use to activate glitch that let us perform the Wrong Warp to the beach. You basically need to enter the void while reading a textbox, and then open one of the menus (echo, map or menu) right before the game voids us back. This puts the game in a weird state where the menu is open but you can still control Zelda, and actually open the menu again, so we sort of select a warp twice which gives us a Wrong Warp. It's really strange but I hope this somewhat explains it.
The underwater phase is actually an autoscroller, so once you reach that point you can hit him with anything to advance to the next phase, in that case an urchin echo.
Glad to know that my combat strategy of spamming sea urchins is completely valid

the fish boss that disappears? that's normal, its just there to spawn the whirlpools and leaves.
