I bought 2 of these around December. Out of the box 2 device ESPNow communication without setting anything up worked fine. Other then that i haven't tested anything. I cant wait till some custom fw come out from the community. Cant wait to see some builds for these devices. Great information in this video you did. Cant wait to hear more about the Cardputer.

Thanks for the video. A few questions. I uploaded one of the test programs to the m5 and it worked, but I wasn't sure how to shutdown the program. Does it overwrite whatever you have burned to the m5 when you upload the program? I had to reinstall the m5 launcher after as well. can you upload programs to an s3 card to run from there?

Basically, a ESP32-S3 with a cute case. And by cute, I mean, hard to type, hard to read, and will draw attention towards you, the moment you try to do some kiddie hack stuff with that thing.
I will still buy it because it does look cute, but is not that "special". Just cute looking, but trivial ESP32-S3 thingie.

Very cool little device, though it is unfortunate that the base firmware as demonstrated does not have any system for loading programs from the SD card. If it had a simple interface for loading micropython programs, it would be significantly more usable.

you can hook a usb to serial cable to it and log into a router, network switch, hardware firewall or server management system or basically anything that has a serial port in a data center for example and use console to run commands in said devices. great if you have that but not your laptop on you or in case of emergencies.
also a variety of sensors you can use on it and read from
LORA devices work on it for communication and automation, they make one that works perfectly on this thing.
some wifi analyzation built in, apps can be improved upon for this and bluetooth, again good for automation.
