My 4-cup Brikka Problem (Part 1) - Never Creates "Crema"

I love my 2-cup Brikka, but the coffee is not enough for me. So I decided to buy a bigger size 4-cup Brikka.
I was so excited when I recived my new 4-cup Brikka. However, when I tried, I was so disappointed! It never creates "crema" as my 2-cup Brikka, the color, mouth feel and the taste of the coffee is totally different. The most important thing is, I don't like the taste!
I tried almost everything:
1) Checked all the sealing & valve, make sure there is no leakage,
2) adjusted the heat (low, medium, high),
3) changed other heat source (electric & gas),
4) changed grind sizes,
5) changed the gasket to silicon type,
6) changed the filter plate to stainless steel type (which has larger holes),
7) swapped the pressure stopper with my 2-cup Brikka stopper,
8) changed the bottom water container to 6-cup Moka Express water container,
9) fresh bean,
10) used hot water, etc...
Non of the above mathods help. When I nearly give up my 4-cup Brikka, finally I accidentally found a solution - changed my funnel! I never thought the funnel is the culprit to my problem!
