Kinds surprised Blade Runner isn’t higher up on the list.
Hadn’t thought about Harry and the Henderson’s in years. Cute movie, I should definitely revisit it again soon.
Yeah ya know I had Blade Runner higher up as I was making the list and it just dropped down as other movies would make the list, or the random flick I just remembered out of the blue. Always love watching it. Harry is a great one. Rewatched it recently for this video and it was so much fun.
I just got Black Rain on DVD. Ridley Scott's direction is artistically beautiful and Michael Douglas' performance is awesome. I mean most people criticize how Douglas is just playing another 80's loose cannon cop with a mullet and bad attitude, but I feel he's a bit more unique when comparing him to other characters from that era like John McClane or Martin Riggs.
Black Rain is probably one of the best films to come out in 1989... right after Road House and Tango & Cash.
Black Rain is a timeless classic. Sure Douglas was a little familiar in terms of character-types but there were a lot of other great elements wrapped around him. And I definitely think Douglas put his own spin on it.
Here's a brief sample of some of my favorites from the 80s. You'll have to forgive me for putting a couple of cult classics in here.

Never mind some cult classics! Seen them all but Hard Ticket Hawaii, some solid flicks!
@@MoviesNeverSayDie Thanks. A couple of weeks back I marathoned the full run of Andy Sidaris films from Malibu Express (1985) to Return To Savage Beach (1998). Enjoyed myself throughout. Kinda wish they'd make action films like that again. But I'm greatful that we have his entire filmography to enjoy forever.
