Hi! Just picked a bunch the other day. Usually just dry them & use them in teas, but probably have more than I need for that, so may have to make some balm or syrup. Peace & cheers!
We love your videos, I can't wait to try this recipie though! Both my little ones watched along with me and kept asking to learn other things. We have an abundant supply of jack by the hedge in our garden and we will be trying your pesto recipie for that. Thank you for all your content xx
@homeiswhereourheartis oh we have them in our amazon basket! I've wanted them for a looong time... I homeschool my babies and I want to use them as part of that. I think this coming month might be the month we can do it!! (We have no spend years so that's why it's taken forever) I recommend you guys alot ♡
A wonderful lip balm. I just ordered my organic rosehip oil for my rosehip products. I'll definitely be adding this to my rosehip line. Thanks for sharing
Btw for your book. Alastair Humphreys (Adventurer) actually presold the book before finishing printing. It gave him some funds up front for the work, it gave him some better estimation of figures for the print run and also he did a very nice early discount when you bought more copies. Maybe something to look into as I would do the same for your book! :)
Hi Jordan hope your well 😁 We thought about doing that but figured it could gets quite crazy! Because we're using amazon each book is printed to order which is easy for us but we might change printers so will keep it all in mind 😁
Hello and thank you so much for your Channel. You guys are wonderful and so knowledgeable. Do I have to strain the rose hips? Can I just leave it for oil for my face? If I'm not making lip balm that day that is. Thank you
I love your work. I got a cupboard full of haw sauces, a bathroom full of rosehip balm, daisy balm and self heal balm. All brilliant. I was astonished to find Daisy really is the British Arnica! Any thoughts on botulism? The liklihood, how to avoid?
I mad a delish chutney by cooking rose hips in apple cider vinegar and some water, then pressed them through a sieve, returned the strained hips juice to the pan added a small amount of muscavado sugar and gently simmered until it reduced a bit and poured it into a clean glass jar. Keeps in the fridge a few weeks and drizzled over all kinds of foods, it is yummy! I imagine you can do this with these left over hips ....
Same! What do you think? I make my own deodorant with coconut oil. It is creamy in room temprature. Not sure how that texture would make for a lip balm. Maybe.

I would be concerned about using fresh rose hips because of their water contents. Infusing dried would be much better. 🥰
You guys look so in love 🥰 just found your channel and now I’m bingeing it 😌

Great idea ! Thank you for the recipe 😊
You're a cute couple. I have been making rosehip ketchup but I will make lip balm next.
Does any rosehip work? I have lots of white and yellow roses in my garden.

Hiya Julie, thanks for watching. You do need to strain the rosehips as they contain tiny little hairs that can irritate and leave us feeling itchy. ✌❤
Is that refined or unrefined coco butter hun x
Hi can I use coconut oil?
And iw will work as good?
Thanks 😊
Yes 😁
Cant wait to try this

Is there anything you can use the leftover rosehip mash for after infusing the oil?

Can you use organic coconut oil instead of cocoa butter? Just curious because I already have the coconut oil and tons of rose hips!
Same! What do you think? I make my own deodorant with coconut oil. It is creamy in room temprature. Not sure how that texture would make for a lip balm. Maybe.
Love your video! Wondering if you can use rose hips from any rose? Are there some that are better or worse than others? Thanks!
