Just yesterday I had such a sad rp. I started out as the med app, interacting with the only elder in our small clan by feeding them and stuff. At some stage, the clan was arguing over how one cat drove of the Deputy and my mother due to her being part Riverclan while we where windclan. The elder started to die so my oc stayed with her as she passed on to starclan while no one else noticed. Another rp my warrior oc stayed with a dying cat in the elders den she didn't even know. Just chatting and comforting them. Overall, it's great to involve elders even if you don't play as one. Ask for stories if you're a kit. Bring prey if you're a warrior. Clean nests and remove ticks if you're an apprentice. Check on them as the leader, deputy or medicine cat. They'll appreciate it.
Once in a Riverclan roleplay, an elder died behind my OC. No one noticed, so I went up to the leader and told them. All they did was say, "May they rest in Starclan." No death ceremony or anything! I told the elders friend. Luckily, they cared. But it was sad to see an elder be ignored.
I remember when I befriended a elder as an app cause i would check upon them and My oc's mother just died so she found comfort with the elder, soon after her warrior ceremony she went back to the elder to celebrate but found they were dying, The medicine cat couldn't save them and they both knew it they just chatted till the elder passed away, Unfortunately No one cared other then the medicine cat and myself (the person became an app and got my oc to mentor them it was really nice but people should talk to their elders)

Being an elder is one of my favorite roles, but no one bothers talking to elders anymore. I often talk to the med cat and leader, and sometimes the leader would go to the elder den and seek me and we’d chat or they’d seek some advice ^^
I really like how you describe elders as grumpy yet kind. Also, the video's steps are really easy to follow! Could you do a tutorial on how to be a queen with no kits? A full-time queen who could, say, offer to take another queen's kits for a bit so they can have a break! I really like roleplaying as this role, but I can't seem to interact with people enough and I end up getting a bit bored.
One time I was a medicine cat apprentice in a thunderclan role play, but the leader, main medicine cat (my mentor) and some other warriors were inexperienced. I do feel grateful for that one elder that did come into the med den for a check up if they had any fleas. I pulled it off by saying they didn’t, I never experienced an elder actually coming in for a check-up so I didn’t really know what to say but I’m glad I did pull it off.
But also, remember that an elder doesn`t always mean old. It could mean that they can`t be a functioning warrior. One of my new ocs, Half`Mind, has a broken leg. She`s pretty young for an elder.
The last time I played as an elder I asked for food because my legs were too weak and younger cats are supposed to bring elders food. I asked the leader, and they said they would get someone. And then no one came- in roleplays we forget about the people roleplaying elders sometimes. So I left and no one ever saw me as an elder again. 😅
This has inspired me t play a semi-forgotten elder of mine, Applesplash. He's kinda rowdy, and doesn't take much seriously, even in old age. He pretends to dislike kits, but really enjoyed their company and curiosity. One of his more outrageous tales is of when he fought off a Fox alone (the same Fox that tore off his tail) and kept the teeth in his den.

I usually play as apprentices and wish there were more elders for me to interact with, fix their bedding, listen to a story or remove there ticks (eww) but because nobody else ever talks to them you don’t see many and therefore I don’t get to talk to them. So I would think if you rp more as an elder, and with players who interact with them im hoping like you, there will be more elders for apprentices to talk to. Thankyou for my essay :)
My elder oc, burnt’cloud: “back in my moons of being an apprentice, one day, i went hunting alone, with my mentor’s permission, of course, and then a rogue went to steal my prey! It was a trout from a river. Then, i fought off the rogue alone. That’s how i got my eye scar over here. I still have the rogue’s patches of fur i scratched off in my den. Wanna see?”
I was just a elderly, my first time. I had made a elder looking oc, I decided to add a huge scar on the side of his face. I named him Half’Wind. Here’s his backstory so yehahhhh *BAD GRAMMAR AND VIOLENCE. * He was only 3 moons when he got his brain trauma . A massive war between WC and RC had begun. Him and his family were from WC, they had to travel from WC to SC as SC’s leader had said all family’s and others who aren’t participating in the war can go to SC for shelter. Half and his family were crossing the bridge connecting WC from RC when he accidentally fell into the gorge, hitting his head on some rocks causing him to have a bit of brain damage, causing his bad memory and constant migraines today, ( or from old age, it’s a combo of his brain and age. ) his father jumped in saving him right before he drowned since he passed out after he hit the rocks, meanwhile. His mother jumped in as well, his father sadly died from drowning. Half’s dad kissed his son on the head and threw him to his mother, she caught him. His father died 5 minutes later. He was 4 moons when he got his scar. A pack of foxes were coming a moon later as it was a horrible traffic nightmare. Dead cats were EVERYWHERE and it was hard for the survivors of WC to travel to SC. Like I said, a pack of foxes came by and grabbed Half’Wind right from the crowd of cats. Nobody noticed as everyone was sobbing and too distracted by the SC medicine cat directing traffic. The foxes shook him around and mauled him face, almost tearing his face off! Thankfully, the SC leader saw it and they scared the foxes off. Fortunately, he survived the attack! He’s now apart of SC. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk :) ❤🎉

all the tips if you forgot some stuff step 1: make sure to make the morph look old like adding more fur or adding grey fur, or you can even add some scars due to battles as you're time as a warrior step 2: elders usually rest like on a warm rock or some patch of ground, if you want more interaction, go to sleep! sometimes someone will have the nerve to wake you up, or you can wake up and blame it on them, this starts a conversation and a interaction, which is what you want step 3: make sure to visit the medicine den often as elders usually suffer joint pain, another advantage is if you are bored of the roleplay or want to change role/character, just die! its very easy to die as an elder as you can die of old age or injurys with ease as you're very old step 4: you will find that some cats seem to share prey while the elder cats tell stories as it makes the elderly cat appreciate them and makes them feel important as a elder you should balance you're grumpiness with heartedness and you will find you'd make well earned friends on the way step 5: elders aren't just known for their captivating stories but the knowledge that they share, make sure to recall events from the past with you're information, and act proud of their achievements, compliment the other players but not too much, you need to tell them how to improve as well, an example is when an elder teaches a kit how to pounce. the kit may fail, but the elderly cat may encourage them what to fix up. these actions may sound very motherly or fatherly, but elders have their fair share of helping with the kits step 6: there are certain actions or phrases that an elder does or say that pushes the fact that they are old, for example i could say a sentence like "Cherry'fall Said." to "Cherry'fall Croaked." or saying "Cherry'fall Stood Up." to "Cherry'fall Stood Up On Her Weak Legs, Which Wobbled Beneath Her." Elderly people tend to use longer words or slightly different speech patterns to make them sound wiser or older fashioned. Hello My elder role experience has gotten more and more skilled and talented thanks to Valkyrie Studios alot of people rp as elders because of how i show how to rp as a real elder. Hello I'm Juniper Wing I have some white tans creams and pinks throughout my body as I am blind I lost my eyes to a Badger , Fox and Snake attacks But seems I am surviving as elder I am kind and loyal but seems rude when forced to do a task he's given I lost my back legs to a monster / car ramming into me while i was running on the other side of the road And could never walk normaly and do most stuff like a used to but doesn't mean I can't do the things I want to do as I think that my personality changed ever since I lost my eyes and my back legs while It didn't It's just because of how old I'm getting. Btw this was just about my warrior Morph as I like taking about Juniper Wing now since I gained for elder experience ty to Valkyrie Studios hope I improve more on different roles then just med deputy and elder as i might learn to be an super experienced and cautious leader. and Again Ty Valkyrie for all these tips of these warrior cat roles.
hey! another recommendation for elder cats is to have them be half-blind or completely blind, because older cats and people tend to have poor eyesight or have NO eyesight
A young cat can also go to the elders den early, like, a bad injury so they can't be a warrior anymore like how longtail was blinded by the rabbit so he couldn't do his jobs as a warrior and retired to the elders den because of that.
i love being an elder cause you have no pressure unlike lead or med cause you can just be a lowly grandma that gets kicked down the stairs, but oh my god I cant bare of how slow you need to walk to fit my character's walking ability aaaaaaaaaaaa
I use my first ever oc as an elder because I've had her for a year and a half and wanted an elder so it made sense. The best story I have to share was with my first ever good rp where these " worm cats " took over all the clans lol. True story and definitely interesting 😂
Warrior should be fairly loyal to their clan, they should be brave and willing to do anything for their clan. However, this is just an overview, in my Warrior tutorial video I will cover all of it ^^
I wish that people actually payed attention to elders. I love roleplaying them, but it gets really boring when you're ignored, so I don't get to play as an elder very often unless my friend is playing with me. Yesterday, I was in ShadowClan, and the Clan had become almost entirely elders. Me and my friend were kits, and we tried getting stories, but they didn't act like elders, they just acted like warriors with mild ailments, and this reminded me that's not how elders worked.
Pls do a vid that makes u a better young elder. Btw for the people who read this and havent read warriors or new to the game u can be a young elder this has only happend once in the books

I don’t have any full-stories, but some story ideas I can share. You could write a story about brothers/sisters/siblings becoming enemies, or a character finding something special and using it. You could write a story about a prophecy being fulfilled, or somebody on an adventure! There are many story options ^^
So I have this like 24 moon old elder that was forced to retire after a brutal attack with some dogs, so how would I rp them? They're hearing impaired, seeing impaired, and somewhat walking impaired, so they're a lot like an elder but they're just… Not old. Like at all. They retired while they were still an apprentice, a few moons before they would’ve gotten their warrior name.

Hmm... well there are Elder tales listed in the Warriors Guides. Have you checked the Warriors wiki? There are possibly some details about tigerclan, leopardclan, and lionclan (the ancient listed clan stories), there! Other than that making up random stories can also work.

I would go to the med den as an elder but most of them grumpy due to the annoying players and I dont want to disturb them

I might not make a tutorial on how to be an exp star clan cat… but it was a great idea! I think the role isn’t promoted enough and there seems to be no ‘guides’. I would just say: ask for perms before doing anything and don’t bother people too much ^^

I don’t have any full-stories, but some story ideas I can share. You could write a story about brothers/sisters/siblings becoming enemies, or a character finding something special and using it. You could write a story about a prophecy being fulfilled, or somebody on an adventure! There are many story options ^^

So I have this like 24 moon old elder that was forced to retire after a brutal attack with some dogs, so how would I rp them? They're hearing impaired, seeing impaired, and somewhat walking impaired, so they're a lot like an elder but they're just… Not old. Like at all. They retired while they were still an apprentice, a few moons before they would’ve gotten their warrior name.

Hmm... well there are Elder tales listed in the Warriors Guides. Have you checked the Warriors wiki? There are possibly some details about tigerclan, leopardclan, and lionclan (the ancient listed clan stories), there! Other than that making up random stories can also work.

You can easily make things up on the spot ^^ perhaps talk about a battle between cats? A sad love story? Perhaps how you got a scar? If you truly can’t think of anything, politely refuse
