Thank you! I teach in a school with a lot of families who speak Haitian Kreyol and it's hard to find resources to learn it.

Who else got Haitian parents but they didn’t teach them a lick of Creole?

    • @HaitianCreoleMsCreole

It's really unfortunate because all they have to do is speak Creole to the kids and not worry about whether or not the kids understand.

LOL MEEEEEE!!! Both parents speak Creole, French, and Spanish and they only taught me English 😂 and then have the _audacity_ to make fun of me for not knowing them

@@DefinitelyNotAFerret that’s something that gets on my nerves. Like when they speak English and they say a word weirdly I don’t laugh but when I do it it’s so hilarious. Like it’s so difficult because it’s not like English with articles(the, a, that, this) and all the other extra things English has to offer

God and Jesus love all of you✝️❤️ the only way to Heaven is to be born again by saying out loud "Jesus is Lord" and believing in ur heart that God rose Him from the dead then you must live for Him i suggest getting baptized, repenting(asking for forgiveness of your sins and making a radical turn from ur sin), fasting (doesnt have to be from food), evangelizing(spreading the Gospel), praying, and reading the Bible. God and Jesus love all of you hmu with any questions have a good day God bless✝️❤️❤️ good works dont get u to Heaven God's grace does John 3:16

@@HaitianCreoleMsCreole mwen pale yon ti kras men mwen pa konprann. Mwen bezwen plis pratik. I can communicate well through writing and my friend tells me my accent isnt too bad for a white boy (his exact words lol) but i cant undestand much of anything when its spoken yet idk why but im trying to soak up as much as i can of people actually speaking the language so i can start having real conversations with people in kreyol but ive tried with my friends mom and even tho she was very patient with me i could tell it was frustrating her how little i could understand even with her slowing down her speech and repeating herself several times. I think the pronunciation of the n’s just throw me off its hard for my ears to pick the individual words apart where im so accustomed to the hard n sound.

Oh wow! the sound for the N word is the same in Haitian Creole. Maybe it's because when we say "nou" for "you", we tend to just say the sound for N and because we tend to speak fast, you feel lost. Your writing is pretty good. I can understand everything you wrote. Another thing you can do honestly is to try to speak creole and fill in the blanks with English, whoever you're speaking with will correct you in Creole and you will remember it for the next time. That's how I learned spanish with a friend and it helped. Anytime you're ready to practice live, join the group.
