Within 3 miles of our 80-acre wooded property, we've seen Western red cedar dieback on neighbor's property at a prodigious rate. As the temps increase, it only makes sense that replanting with species already adapted to warmer areas (within that species range) will help alleviate the dieback. I do not see a problem with assisted migration, with sensible planning and forethought.
1:07 also the bird population decline was drastic and I’d see dead bees on the ground around town - the fires don’t help and the local gerrymandered government doesn’t either!
