I live by crown city . If you want to kill a big buck there it is hard . A lot of pressure all year around .

I spend 3 days in Egypt calling and walking around... never saw or heard a turkey. Some areas have a working electric fence!

I can say that i have hunted Ohio public land since the late 90's and at that time you had a decent chance at killing a nice buck (150"+) but for the last 10-12 years it has become a joke with mega hunting pressure from out of state hunters crawling all over eachother shooting the first two year old buck they see...Its a shame

I can see you have never actually been to Ohio or any of these areas. You should list hunter density. Because that would tell you the whole story. Ohio public lands are absolutely overrun with people.

be nice if you all made a detail map of each public hunting land and scouting report, such as where to park, game species, hazards, terrain, etc. I would buy that in a heartbeat hell you could even break it into regions

What would really be nice if he would have mentioned Shawnee State Forest, Wildcat Hollow and Wayne National Forest. The best public hunting areas in the state. Not sure of the average but it's in the tens of thousands for Shawnee and Wayne National. The deer hunting is excellent as is the turkey hunting. Habitat is also excellent and varied. Check them out.

@@scottlewis8386 Thanks man, I just think if a place only has a thousand acres couldn't too many people hunt there at once. I also forgot about Cooper Hollow near Athens. Happy hunting.

@@sonnypate6808 just wondering, I haven’t lived in Ohio for very long . You wouldn’t give me some pointers to find buck bed ? I seem to always find the doe bedding but not the bucks .
