Nice reaction! I grew up listening to John Denver's songs. Hundreds of artists have covered this song. But I feel Home Free took this one to another level for me. It is one of my favorite covers of this song. I love everything about it. It is a masterpiece. Home Free is my favorite a cappella group hands down.
Home Free will sing such intricate harmonies, and backgrounds, add the perfect amount of instrument/no-instrument accompaniment, yet have a way of making you hear every word. Most times bringing forth meanings and emotions you may have missed in the beloved original They will add their swag, yet never disrespect the original.
One of my favorites of theirs. They took years with finding the right arrangement of this iconic song and it’s beautiful and makes the song more like a ballad. I love that you love this. We Home Fries love it too. All their voices are superb. Some others you may like Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, In the Blood, Castle on the Hill, Die a Happy Man, What We Ain’t Got. Good reaction Chad!😃 Oh a funny one they do but is so good is Brother.

Loved your honest reaction! I was about 21 when this song came out. We all loved it. It became a classic, of course. Then Home Free put it out for all of us to enjoy. But they slowed the song way down and I cried the first time I heard them sing it. I had never had that reaction to the song in 50 plus years before that. Wow! It was incredible, still is. I've watched this video now dozens of times and still get goosebumps! Slowing it down made me really hear the words for the first time and touched me deeply. Thanks so much and take care!
Suggestions: Hillbilly Bone, Castle On The Hill, Workin' For A Livin', In The Blood, Brothers In Arms, Go Rest High On That Mountain, Brother, Mississippi Squirrel Revival, and, when you know each member's vocal role, Mayday. (Heck, they're all good!)
John Denver's version is obviously the classic. Chance's version with Peter Hollens is lovely and has a modern feel. But Home Free's version is still my family's favorite--hands down! Besides the unbelievable harmonies, getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is such a great treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
No need to apologize for the emotion they evoke with their exceptional vocalization that makes you think instruments and insane harmonies are all happening at times you are not expecting or prepared to encounter as they bring the words alive in way you have never heard before. Their arrangements are sensationally good and they own the presentation in a new way that just wow you!!! They simply take a cover and make it new and make it better everytime. ❣

In the Blood, Brother, Give Me a Sign ( 1st video of trilogy which is a original written by Austin), and Some Girls Do are my current favorites. Working For A living introduces all the guys at the beginning of the video if you want to start to put names to faces.
I think most folks expect pauses but I’d kindly suggest waiting until the end of a phrase, verse or chorus and then perhaps give a complete thought vs. sporadic stops/starts. We do understand your excitement as a new Home Fry. It’s hard to contain our amazement at times too. Rob, who nailed it, with his beautiful lead combined with the others is great again. Adam who has swallowed another drum kit😉 finishes it off completely. In one word phenomenal👏❤ I'm so happy. I will see them in Utrecht Netherlands September 27, which I am so looking forward to.
yes! it is kinda broken so it doesn’t give me the full volume and also i can’t hear my own voice when they’re both in because it doesn’t do transparent that well.
@chadwick williams -- Even inexpensive gamer headphones, something that brags about base-dedicated drivers or some kinds "bass boost" is necessary for Home Free; and NOT bluetooth either. NO earbuds. Tinny little speakers compress and alter the signal too much. Seriously, C. Drop a few ducats and get serious about really listening to music.

Reaction channels are all different. Personally I appreciate a real reaction/breakdown of how the reactor feels while listening. I know many reactors blur/distort the video because all of the copy write issues between bands and youtube it's self. It is what it is :)
