This is one of the rare games where finding these glitches and doing them are more of a compliment to the game's depth after 20 years (happy 20th anniversary SotN!). They are like easter eggs after you think you have done everything in the game.
I completely agree! If it weren't for the speed-running community for this game, I wouldn't have as many videos for sure lol. It's also given me a whole new excuse for going back and playing the classics.
The shield rod trick is the best part of the luck glitch. Because you don't lose your starting items, you can essentially wreck shop for the rest of the game after getting into the Colosseum. I wager it isn't neccesarily great for time in speedruns, but for fun and profit you can just pretty much smash everything you come in contact with if you're playing "normally"... which is relative given you already luck glitched to get there.

Nice vid man, I've been through this game so many times that I've lost count. And I'm sort of a completionist so the first time I found out you could do glitches like this and the one where you use the Sword familiar to get outside of the castle, and the double heart refresh thing, I tried to cover as much of the map as I possibly could that you weren't intended to get to. Just for the sake of having the number of "Rooms" higher in the menu screen and because of Walk Armor lol. Man I love this game, I also made sure to get every single common and rare item from every enemy, TRIED to get to Lv 99 without cheating ( which would take hundreds of hours since at some point, around level 65-70 I believe, every enemy gives you 1 exp and you need like 18,000 exp for a single level up) so the highest I ever got was to Lv 80. But that was back when I was like 14 and had more patience to sit there and get over 10 level ups when you're only getting 1 exp per enemy lmao. Fun times

Was play cv the drac x cron i just beat on my psp and i did not know this but u get sotn once u do Ben for ever since i played sotn so im going trough remembering all the fun spots so on and i could not remember who drop the dark shield came across you videos like it a nother of ur cam on and i see in your inventory the flame star and i dont know how but i all ways miss picking up that wep even in the past what mob or hidden room am i missing ?
The Flame Star I bought from the Librarian, and the dark shield can be snagged as a drop from those Cthulhu looking monsters in the inverted castle (Malachi). Thank you very much for the sub! Hope this helps.

It isn't possible to kill a Belmont. A Belmont's power can be matched but not destroyed as Alucard let's us know in the Jp version when you make it to Shaft at the end.
i got the crappy first ending, beating rictor wqas a pain, i later realized to upgrade and use the risist holy weapons, btw i don't want to cheat or use any glitches, i have started the default way were death takes all his equipments and i have gathered bat and mistrelics, how do i get passed ricter, i already beat him but i want to play the upside down castle and get the crissgrim, any tips on how to avoid rictor and what should i buy from the old guy, i have 9203 gold so far?

Only catch is it has to be done at the first meeting with the librarian. Other than that, there's a variation that uses the Sword Familiar that can be done at any time. Good luck :D

I couldn't do the trick to skip Richter, instead I used the wolf to skip him.
