For a Zelda movie, I'd want them to use the Twilight Princess aesthetic ( to set itself apart and maybe push the age rating), but make a composite version of the characters and world. With Link maybe having 4 or 5 lines

Just cuz one studio made a mario movie doesn't mean other studios can't COLLABORATE and make a smash bros movie. Let me tell you, its gonna happen.
Hell, they might get Paramount on board and do a Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games movie.
That would never happen all the legal issues and greediness of studios would make it next to impossible for a smash movie

While games like Zelda and Metroid aren't a great fit for Illumination's usual fare, keep in mind that near the end of last year Illumination revealed they were opening a sub-studio aimed at teen and adult animation. If that thing takes off they might be able to manage it
If we include the NCU theory, I think they should start with the franchises of the Original 12. Then, the most likely of all (if we only include the references) is Star Fox.

Really really hope we get luigis mansion. Charlie day would be so perfect and it would make up for luigi nt being included a ton in the first movie. and also works for luigi to repay his big brother back for saving him in this one
For Smash Bros, i don't think that a movie is a great idea. But the true genius idea for Smash is to adapt the games as an animated TV Show of 15/20 min each, with the first episodes based on one license. A the story goes, the different universes will be fused together, all against a enemy that control time and space like taboo does in brawl. For example, all start when the mushroom Kingdom is attacked by an unfamiliar evil forces and Mario, Luigi and some of there friends going to defend and at the end, there sucked to a dimensional portal, as a way to connect the next episode.
If they ever did a Luigi's Mansion movie I actually would like to see Hank Azaria cast as Professor E.Gadd. He's a well known voice actor plus his Professor Frink voice would fit the charecter perfectly

Super Mario Bros. 2 is inevitable. And a Donkey Country Movie is a safe bet since, there’s a Donkey Long attraction being constructed at Super Nintendo World, and with how fleshed out the Kong’s were in the Mario Movie. Zelda would work better a a Studio Ghibli movie, and a live action Metroid with Brie Larson as Samus could work if done right.

I absolutely agree with this, while the idea of a smash bros movie sounds really cool, each franchise has so much more potential as it's own original stories. I don't want a somewhat confusing mess of movies like the mcu, especially looking at how it's ended up. Anime and Zelda would fit sooo perfectly together, a good example imo are all the zelda mangas. And while I think illuminations art style worked really well with the mario movie, I think other franchises would benefit wayy more from different styles, an illumination zelda is a bit frightening
A Kirby movie/tv show would be awesome, maby Kirby would stop Meta knight from taking over dream land and King dedede from stealing all the food convincing them to team up and fight off a Dark matter invasion
The finale could be the events of crystal shards or the whole magolor ordeal and star Allie’s may have been trash but a star Allies finale would be sick. Either that or it’s a forgotten land ending. Oh also they could make and entirely new plot also.
I think that Nintendo is going to make a film studio and do movies in house after the conclusion of MB2. I think that Nintendo is smart and took notes while working on the project with Illumination and will purchase the rights to movie Mario later
I think the best idea is for Mario to complete a bunch of levels but the levels were accessed through an open world layout. Or it could just be 2D. They should make it so once you defeat Bowser he turns into dry Bowser and you have to redo the levels except they are being destroyed by dry bowser. Dry Bowser would look super cool like in Bowser’s Fury. You should also be able to play as other characters like Peach. Also in the beginning and start you are in the mushroom kingdom and are able to explore the Toad houses and castle until Bowser shows up. There should also be every enemy and every hero that’s been in the franchise. (Pauline, Daisy, Donkey Kong, King Boo, ETC)This could make for a really cool final battle/war between the mushroom kingdom, Donkey Kong land, Penguin kingdom, Yoshi Empire, and Metro kingdom and others VS Bowser and his minions. PLEASE MAKE THIS REAL!!!!

Well, I think Illumination could still make those Zelda and Metroid movies since Chris Melanadri announced that the studio will start taking more risks now. Heck, they even opened up a new division for the studio called "Moonlight" where they'll start making more adult films. As for those Nintendo easter eggs in Brooklyn, what I would like to see is throughout the smash movies, characters would notice that some objects in other dimensions are very similar to things from their own. then when the connection between universes gets cut off or something, the characters would go to the source of those objects in the hope of maybe finding another way to travel between universes.
Yeah, I kinda agree to this. Also, if an adult animated Zelda and Metroid happen made by Moonlight (Illumination) that will so revolutinary/cool. Also, I've heard online that Henry Cavill and Brie Larson are being rumored to play Link and Samus, I'm not shore about those choices but we'll see.

Whilst mario playing Kid Icarus means no Kid Icarus movie, I don't think the model R-Wing disconfirms a Star Fox movie. We have models of real planes, cars, spaceships etc in real life, so it would make sense in the mario world too.
I'd like to see the people who did castlevania netflix make a zelda series, I don't think a zelda story can be told well in a single movie.

The Donkey Kong movie could take place before Mario arrived in the mushroom kingdom.
At the end, it could flash forward to reveal that it was DK *telling* the story to Mario, Mario says that he doesn’t believe it, then King K. Rool emerges from the shadows like “oh, but it’s all true.” Cut to credits
I don't want it to be a Cinematic Universe, it wouldn't make sense for all of them to be in the same world.

My idea for a Nintendo Cinematic Universe:
DK Movie, Star Fox Movie, Zelda TV Show (Zelda has too much lore for just a movie, it should be a show, like The Last of Us had), Punch Out Movie, Metroid Movie (Live action would be my preference), Kirby Movie, F-Zero Movie, Earthbound TV Show (same reason as Zelda), Kid Icarus Movie, Fire Emblem TV Show (same reason as Zelda too), Pokémon could just introduce an animated version of Detective Pikachu, or the Pokémon Anime, in the Universe, Same thing for Metroid, just make an animated version of the live action when the crossover happens. Of course, eveything would lead up to a Super Smash Bros. Movie, other stuff like Pikmin, could be introduced there and have a show after, Snake and Sonic could be introduced in the Smash movie as well, and elaborate further in other projects.

Nintendo already made a animation studio and I feel like this movie is kinda of them learning on how to make a movie then start to make independent movie with universal. Kinda with marvel, they started with Paramount then split apart from them and made there own stuff
I honestly had 2 theories of what shorts for the Mario movie would be. 1: it would be a short of when Mario and Luigi were working for spike, aka before they chose to quit and start their own plumbing company out of their life savings. 2: it would be about their cousin Stanley from donkey Kong 3, during the absence of Mario and Luigi, Stanley has to fill in the cracks and keep their plumbing business going, but things go crazy for both his clients, and his anxiety problems.

next movie should be a donkey kong movie with the villian being king k rool. mario luigi and peach will show up to help but they wont be the main focus. or a movie about how the kong kindom first started. like a prequel.
next mario movie the plot could be, that bowser jr. trys to rescue bower/ continue bowsers plan of taking over the kindoms. but he needs some help, so he finds wario and waluigi. maybe even king k rool. that could be the plot of that movie. or mario and peach realize that they need more help so they find other heros from other worlds, link, Kerby, metroid....etc. along their journey, they find the other princess, Daisy and Roselina.
Then they have some sort of tournament (smash bros.) to see whos in change of all the kindoms and worlds/galaxies.

Even if it is to show that they can but if it be a Smash brothers movie it be on Princess Peach's origin as a phrase one storyline for now that is.
I think a Zelda Movie or even a new TV Series depends on the Theme Nintendo is wanting to Focus on.
For example for a Series would be the Classic Zelda Theme fitting.
Every Episode talks about a Quest Link faces or a Dungeon he explores and so on.
For the Movie I would rather recoment a Hyrule Warriors Theme.
It would be hard showing off 8 Dungeons in a 1 - 2 Hours Movie with any tension to keep the Movie interesting, so instead of exploring Dungeons in a Movie it would be neat to see an actual War going on.
I want to see Cappy in any of the films.

If the DK movie will be a love letter to the Donkey Kong Country games and the original DK arcade game, which I hope it really is, then they have to include Pauline into the movie and have her have a larger role than what she had in the Mario movie.

That's So Cool Though
For a DK Movie, I can see K. Rool wanting to invade the island and take over with his Kremling Army, and have the Kongs fight for it, a simple all out war plot, nothing special.
But, by the end of the movie, however, I can see Cranky passing down the title of king to DK, for his honor, bravery and determination to fight for his home, as when all hope seemed lost for the Kong army, DK managed to defeat the Kremlings single handedly. (Which will explain Cranky's normal non-royal design in the base games.)
With that, the first thing DK wanted from his now royal subjects are...bananas, lots and lots of bananas, which, where we'll see the origin of his precious Banana Hoard.
Meanwhile, though...K. Rool is FUMING, downright angry of his defeat, all because of that stupid banana brain DK...forget the island, he wanted him dead, but where can he start? It's not long after until he learns about DK's Banana Hoard, which gave him an idea...(setting up the events for the first DKC Game.)
I hope they make a sequel all about Super Mario Galaxy

It really shouldn’t be too long before we hear an official announcement from Nintendo and Illumination about the Mario movie sequel as well as other Mario related spinoff projects.
As a huge rosalina fan i hope she gets put into a movie even if its only for a second
i loved the super mario bros. and definitely want to see sequels(deserves it & all the praise.) & nintendo series get films:
mario 2: want wario/waluigi(working for foreman spike.),the koopalings/bowser jr.(could along with kamek be the ones that free bowser.),rosalina(that luma confirms we're going to see her but i question what she'll be like with how nihilistic it was.) & especially princess daisy(love to see her relationship with luigi.:3)
dk:loved the kongs and with how diddy,dixie and chunky formed a trio/eddie the mean old yeti even cameod would love to see king k. rool(could have him kidnap kiddy and the banana hoard.).
captain toad:i loved toad in this(way more than the games.) and would love shorts of him with toadette.
kid icarus/star fox: they can work as movies as those easter eggs don't deny it as they're the nintendo series that would work the best with their stories(imo even more than zelda as there is a lot it'd need to do to get past it's flaws.),charming characters(would love pit/palutena meeting the mario bros./peach,viridi and bowser team up with hades.) & scope.
splatoon:would like it if the squid sisters/off the hook are the focus alongside the inklings as i want them to finally get a spinoff to them instead of only the player inklings.
nintendo has their own film studio and not all of them need to be illumination with nothing saying at all they need to stick with a single studio and a super smash bros. will happen it's more so like what detective pikachu's producer said that it'd need buildup for the series which doesn't need to be only films for some(like tv series,cartoons,shorts or anime) and could be a series of films not just cramming it into one.

So I'm actually kind of torn on the idea of a Galaxy themed sequel. Galaxy is my favorite Mario game of all time, Rosalina's great, and the whole concept would be wonderful. However, one of my main complaints with the Mario movie, which surprisingly isn't mentioned a lot, is how the actual world wasn't explored. Instead we got a montage, which is great, but imagine actually seeing the Sand Kingdom, Rock Kingdom, etc, in full depth. I know that this is difficult to fit into one movie, but so would multiple galaxies. So to move on from a world that you ready have but barely explored to a system of worlds that would be even harder to explore would kind of be unreasonable. I love the concept, but am not sure about the execution as the Mario Movie is already incredibly fast paced which is both a good thing and a bad thing. I think perhaps a third movie would be a more fitting movie to explore this.
I think we will get 3 Luigi’s Mansion movies. The 1st one is the first Luigi’s Mansion game. The 2nd one is going to be a Dark Moon movie that Luigi have to go to all 5 mansions to get parts of the Dark Moon & the 3rd one is the third Luigi’s mansion game movie.
I feel like they should make a stand-alone Mario Galaxy movie so they can put as much Galaxy in their as possible

There is nothing more frustrating for a Donkey Kong fan then people assuming that the Kong from the arcade game was Donkey himself when instead that was Cranky. At best DK maybe a grown up DK Jr..

I could see Wario and waluigi as thieves who are on the run and instead of being in Brooklyn they could be in Germany since Wario tends to have German attributes
So maybe they rob a antique store with many treasures and Easter eggs Wario land style and when the cops come they run away and hide in a sewer where they both get sucked into the mushroom kingdom but not the same spot as Mario or Luigi
We also have a confirmed Donkey Kong-themed expansion coming to Super Nintendo World! To me that definitely confirms a DK film is on the way.
They also have most of Donkey kong's core cast established already too.
Personally I think a smash movie is more than possible. They could pretty easily get detective pikachu in there since technically Nintendo owns it and I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard for them to get movie sonic in there too. I think they could have some multiverse shenanigans with them all coming into the same universe with a consistent art style that looks like spider verse puss in boots. It could look kinda like that one smash promo thay everyone syncs with all the different songs.

I'd love a Mario Odyssey inspired movie with cappy. Maybe it would fit better with a series. But that probably won't happen(at least in the near future). Since it probably wouldn't fit in that well right now.
A Mario movie, I’m surprised it took so long, but once Nintendo announces another Nintendo franchise like Zelda or Metroid, smash is inevitable. My one concern is voice acting, cause if Nintendo wants to make a real cinematic universe, they can’t make it like DC, where they made 1 movie, then BvS. But they also need time to make each movie, so 5-6 movies later, we get smash, but the original cast aged so much they no longer sound like they did for the super Mario bros. Movie. However, I really want to see a Luigi or DK movie from Illumination.

I agree with the idea of Nintendo utilizing multiple studios owned by Universal too make their movies. Because let's be real here, there's NO way Illumination could handle the storytelling possibilities that come with potential movies like Zelda, Metroid or Smash Bros. It would take specific studios too handle multiple stand-alone franchises like that.

The next one that isn't Mario will almost definitely be Zelda. I mean, pokemon has had anime TV/films for ages, so that wouldn't become 3d illumination style (probably 😅), and I think Zelda is their next biggest property. And also, it's just a natural progression. I feel like he next thing people think of after Mario is Zelda, Kirby or Pokémon. Pokémon I already mentioned, and Kirby just isn't as big as Zelda. It would also probably be easier to pull a story out of Zelda too
Honestly I agree next movie is either gonna be Zelda or kirby and though I am hoping for a kirby movie it will probably be Zelda which will still be good
