      Thanks @JayDogTitan , old Rangers, you just can’t beat ‘em. I found after installing the shell in handled the cross winds created on the interstate much better as well. Thanks for watching!

    I enjoyed the junk yard walk through,took me back 30 years. I own an 87 ranger I'm fixing up, so I'll be doing my own junk yard trek soon.

      The cup holders and shift boot combo from the early B series Nisan’s fit the first generation ranger because they used the same thin tapered shift lever and the tunnel is super close if not made with the same tooling.

    I love my 86 Ford Ranger. I opted for putting a truck bed lid on mine. It is like I have a giant trunk and you can access things from the side. In case I need to haul long boards, I can remove the truck bed lid and I had a roof rack made for it. I never see any Rangers with a 7 foot bed on the road like what you and I have. Maybe a collector item someday?

    It’s been 25/30 years but you could at one point just order the key from the 3 digit number on the lock. I think I paid $6 for my key. Also RV cleaner is incredible for cleaning old cars and parts like the canopy. It’s gentle on finish and fiberglass but it takes off algae and tree sap like nothing else. By the time you get the second side sprayed the other side will be bleached out and all the gunk just wipes right off.

      Thanks for the advice Snake! I had not even considered RV cleaner! Brilliant!👍

    I love wrecking yards. My ex worked at one when we were first married, and I would walk around with him and think how at one time every one of those cars were new. And you’re right, they each have a story to tell! Also, you may not believe me, but I actually answered your “does anyone know what this is?” mystery question! Lol! I enjoyed this video.

      Wendy that’s awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video. Love knowing you answered! So many individual stories and history in each of these yards. I sure appreciate you watching!

      Looking at some of the wrecked up cars and trucks, you kinda wonder if somebody got killed in them though. Morbid thought, however still, you kinda wonder.

    You'll have to keep your eyes open for a slider back window for the pickup:) Then you will have access to the bed from the truck.

    Reminder; it's NOT a junk yard! It's a salvage yard! A junk yard is the end of the road for cars and trucks and crushed!! A salvage yard is for re-use!!!

    • @Thisguyandhiscamera
      @Thisguyandhiscamera  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tomato-Toma’to 😉 there’s a crusher on premises. Guess it just depends on what coast, or country you’re in at the moment. Some consider old cars ‘junk’ hence junk yard’. Remember, you can salvage from a junk yard, but you can’t junk from a salvage yard. 😉Thanks for watching!

      He also pointed to the fuel pump saying it was the sensors, then pointed to the EVAP canister (aka the sensors) saying they were the fuel pump. Oops.
