Mine was playing perfectly and was on for a couple hours. I heard a little static noise while it was sitting. Turned it off and When I turned it back on and played another reel, It played but had no light and no sound.
hey dave did you ever get around to fixing up the telefunken? i just bought one btw not got it to turn on as yet as its got an old french mainsplug which i dont wana butcher so im looking for an adapter. cheers anyway
I also picked one Telefunken 204 U mine however, has a broke belt that fell apart inside, when you ever get a chance would love to see a video of the belt locations. Thank you!
Hang in there the reason part two isnt complete is that the owner said dont waste money on its repair and gave it to me. He also owns a Pioneer that Im working on repairing that is taking a ton of time I dont have but he said no hurry since he will be out of the state maybe till after the first. Have a good one.
That is about it for now on the R2R. Ive got another thats driving me crazy try to repair. Ive been working on it and each time I replace a part another breaks down. Have a good one.
@@Davesintexas I Finally repaired the one I bought, putting it on condiment. Now I'm working on a Dokorder reel to reel, then on to a Berlant Concertone. Cheers!

I turned on my old telefunken for the first time and it started spewing white smoke, any ideas what this could be?
What size reels and
type of tape are those.
Might be picking one
up for cheap tomorrow.
