Rachel, I'd like to let you know that although you're not aware, you've been very helpful for me in my whole process of applying for a study permit! I just got, yesterday, my approval decision and passport request from IRCC, and I can't be more happy! Your videos helped me understand the pathway that I should pursue in order to follow my Canadian dream! I'm a 42 year old capeverdean, living in Cape Verde and I went through all the process alone, but your videos helped me a lot!! Through them I understood that I should have a college diploma and Canadian work experience in order to increase my chances of getting an ITA. You gave me hope with your video explaining that you were enrolled in a one year program and, althought it wasn't easy, you still got your permanent residency! But next, I followed your advice and I chose to study a 2 year post degree diploma instead of a one year program, to have more time to build my CRS score before submitting my express entry profile. Your SOP and your tips helped me in writing my own study plan and although I'm above 40 I got my study permit application approved in my first attempt, in 9 weeks. I may move to Canada, Vancouver, in August to start my program in September this year in Vancouver Community College. I had to let you know that you played a very important role in this process! So, for that and for much more, thank you!! Keep doing this excellent work you are doing and you'll be somehow greatly recompensated! All my best wishes for you!!
Its like you are telling my story..she is very good at what she does..my school choose, no of years, sop, and study permit was all inspired by her videos. DIY for that matter .

Hi Rachel, Thank you for your videos. Really helpful for us aspiring for PR. I'd like to ask if I can extend my SOWP based on the new policy (all levels of work) while my PGWP application is still on process? I don't have NOC B job yet and Im graduating on April 2023, OWP permit will expire on July 31,2023. Thank you for your answers..
Hello Rachel, do you have videos detailing the migration programs like when studying a masters in a state that allows apply to migration after graduation? Thanks
Rachel please I will like to ask you a different question what if you have a diploma in midwifery from your home country and wants to come to Canada to get your nursing degree is it possible and please how do I go about it and if it is possible how many years does it take to get the nursing degree.
@7:43 says to stop working once final grades are received. I wasn't aware of that and thought I should stop working once I graduate and receive my transcript + completion letter. I don't know when my final grade was posted as we don't get notified by the university or professors. I'm guessing I worked for 5 days after my final grade was posted and before I was able to apply for the pgwp. Would that be a problem? Also, I'm doing 2 degrees at 2 universities and decided last minute to defer my admission to my 2nd degree until 2024 to gain work experience for the express entry. So I'm thinking if there's any trouble, I could say that I am a returning student in fall 2023, so that is why I was working and then I decided I'll defer it to 2024.
Thank you for this wonderful video about how to apply for express entry. I’m considering CEC also after I graduate. Thank you!
@@kayonaldria thank you for that clarification. So valid job offer is like the offer letter you receive when you were hired from a company? It says what position, wage, and duties you perform for that role in the company? Is that it?
You are correct re the Valid Job Offer. Point to note though, you are still qualified for FSW even while you are an international student if you have valid work experience from your home Country.
Hi Rachel!! You're like the older sister I always wanted but I tried looking for a video about study permit applications and how to emphasize working while studying... Is it in the permit or we have to ask? Would love the help!!
Your study permit will mention your working conditions. And if you are uncertain, then you can ask the Immigration Officer once you receive it. That is what I did because I thought that I was going to get a separate permit for work.
It really depends on the skilled job you’re looking for since most provinces have their own in-demand jobs! For example, ON and BC may be better finances and tech-related jobs! I could dig in more into this and make a video detailing what each province is known for! 🥰🤗
