My quick tips to improve your writing:
1. Be direct
2. Use active voice instead of using passive voice
3. Don't over explain or give too many examples
4. Refrain from using 'there is' or ' there are' in formal writing

I was hoping for something else, but your tips are awesome for a lot of things related to language learning.
Those translations for all of the "abbreviations" were very helpful, as computer language is not my normal manner of "legal" communications. Everything must be written out and double checked, so this new modern way of talking is sometimes "Greek to me".

It’s definitely not usually appropriate to use “hey” in a formal email, especially if you are writing to a superior.

I rarely, if ever, use "Hey" when I'm addressing my immediate boss/supervisor, upper management or even executive staff, especially in emails..... at least, not unless I happen to be serving in a capacity that involves a level of interaction that is higher and more-frequent than usual. However, I will occasionally use 'Hey' when emailing colleagues who are somewhere around my level of seniority or who serve in a capacity that is similar to my own. On the other hand, if I'm ever addressing the public in a role where I am representing the group that I work for..... then in that specific case, I will NEVER use "Hey" -- that is a big no-no!!
