It's sad that people don't realize how much they can affect others especially when they accuse them of something they didn't do. It's not easy to get over being hurt even though we may forgive the hurt is still there.
What did she say in her book about the incident? I only met her once and didn't find her particularly friendly. I also remember when the cast of the Facts of Life reunited at the TV Land Awards one year and Cloris tried to dominate the conversation, despite only being a part of the show for two seasons and Charlotte Rae standing right there the whole time.
I believe Gavin. It is so infuriating to have someone who just inexplicably hates you (or seems to) and is just well, weird. Gavin simply had too big a reputation for integrity for me to believe Clovis.
I believe the issue wasn't with Gavin; Cloris had always been difficult, and this trait intensified over the years. Her husband repeatedly cheated, and although she endured it for some time, she became increasingly bitter.
He was a sweetheart. I'm sorry that he let her bother him so much. She seemed like a real piece of work.

8:11...sadly they're all gone now. What a talented cast it was. May they all rest in peace.

Good report. Thanks. BTW - in that small cast of MTM, two of the stars were alcoholics...Mary and Gavin.
Thanks! Yeah, I found out Gavin had a problem with it until the 80's while I was making this episode.
I believe they finally mended fences with each other. She appeared on The Love Boat a few times.
Leachman was never a favorite of mine. Loony tune!

She seemed like a real pain.
I agree.
