Nicely done. I went with a 2024 FE501S. Doing all the usual mods. The new suspension is definitely a big improvement from the previous gen. I still need to re-spring and valve since I'm 200 lbs. before riding gear and tools. Love your reviews, thanks.
So I just bought the FE350W… it doesn’t have the turn signals and comes with real dirtbike tires. Still registered for the street though! Cool combination…
3:40 FE and TE bikes are for enduro racing. The S-model does not exist outside the United States / North America. I'm not sure what the differences to regular the FE 350 model are, but basically all enduro racing bikes are corked up by default because they have to pass emission standards and such. In traditional enduro the transitions between stages may happen on unclosed public roads so the models / frames must have type approval for road use. This also makes it possible to register them for road use in most parts of Europe including the two strokes. For example with 2-stroke carb models turning your bike "race ready" was as simple as installing the unrestricted "closed course pipe" that came with the bike and then rejetting the carburetor. However, now with the introduction of fuel injection you have to retune the ECU and so on to get the most out of the bike. That said, if you are riding traditional style enduro - in other words fast open trails with jumps and such - you may want to consider revalving the suspension. Enduro racing nowadays is split into two categories - traditional enduro (ie. EnduroGP) and hard enduro (ie. FIM HEWC). Traditional enduro is more similar to motocross in a sense the trails are fast, there are jumps and so on. However, there are also some technical sections, but nothing compared to hard enduro which is all about technical riding and navigating gnarly terrain while losing as little time as possible. Most manufacturers try to please the average trail rider what comes to the stock suspension which also happens to be a happy medium between the two disciplines or somewhere around that ballpark at least.
Got this bike to replace my 2012 350 EXC-F. The bike feels down in power compared to my old 350. It really is corked up. The frame and suspension stock is ready to ride from the factory and its lower seat helps over the PDS. Very happy with it.
i love my 2012 husaberg 300 te. been riding for it 11 years, we're pretty much one machine, i know it so well. but I moved to a new area where the riding areas are far, small, and spaced out by roads. Having something like this would be really nice. despite what pol tarres does my t7 is not a dirtbike
Add tax, prep and setup fees and suddenly it's the same price as an 890 Adventure! Not sure the '24 is 40-50% more bike than a used 20-23 350 with mods ($12.5K new and no farkles vs $7K used with $1000 in farkles)
Real nice bike. Did I miss the HP and torque numbers in the video? Thank you for listing the weight. It's 248lbs dry? So topped off, I guess it's about 260 - 265 or so? I have a Suzuki RMX 450Z that I made street legal, bought it for 7K brand new a few years ago. I almost would think about getting the Husky, but with little weight difference, probably less power, and everything else equal, guess I'll make do with Zuke for a few more years.
I thought of getting a Suzuki RMX 450. Do you like yours? I think an IMS 2.5 gal tank would be a priority along with a ignition piggyback to uncork its potential.
@@ml5955 Your thoughts are spot on correct. I put an IMS on the bike. Game changer. Also an EFI tuner, opened the airbox and put on a Yoshi exhaust. Great bike. I even made it 100% street legal. Balanced the wheels with spoke weights. Capable dirt bike and fun to drive on the road, too. Extremely reliable as well. Highly recommend.
@@easternyellowjacket276 thanks for the reply 👍. I had a slightly modded 2000 DRZ 400k that was a fun desert bike. I might keep an eye out for a RMX 450. My state, AZ, is easy to plate a RMX.
This looks like the perfect trail bike, but anyone who buys it should just plan to spend an extra $1200-$1500 for GET ECU and End Cap to deal with the corked up bullshit, but that's not different than the last several years of these bikes. Oh and add an extra $500 for tires and mousse's
Nice brief review and footage. It could have been shorter if the same footage wasn't replayed repeatedly. It is really cool footage but I could have just replayed parts of the video in order to watch it more than once if desired. ;)

comparison between the 350 you had and 501?
Im 220lbs before gear and wanting to get back into dual sport riding would you recommend the 350 or 500 ?
Ron you are the best personality and voice for DBM or offroad riding journalism in general.
We love having Ron! He can do a clean bike review without a script or anything in front of him!

Picking mine up Friday and I'm fine with 32hp and only 255lbs wet, about as perfect as you can get for a street legal light motocross bike!
I got the 2024 FE 350 W…it’s amazing right out of the box. Power seems more than enough!
love to be able to hear the bike instead of the music ,very informative video, thanks
Noted. Doing our best to make everyone happy is hard. We will try to add in more bike sound over music ! thanks for checking it out! appreciate it!

S is available in canada lol
Keeping those after market guys in business - previous versions of the seat, tank, footpegs, etc, etc etc, no longer fit.

Get ahold of Mike at Taco Moto, I used his custom maps in the Dyno jet for my 18’ 350exc. Made a world of difference.
Great review and fabulous filming. I've got an FE250S and wish I had the extra 100cc for the road.

Hey dirt bike, what we really want to see for years now is a comparison between a Husky Fe 350 and the Beta 390.
Great review! Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Good review, its refreshing to have a review that points out the negatives. Most others are just re stating the marketing spiel.
The fact thats its 12,500.00 is a no...imo these bikes are way over priced...guess ill buy used😅
Most new bikes now are double digits in price. Unfortunately there aren't many under the 10k mark. Suzuki motocross models still are

The 2024 FE350s is $1,500 off right now at 3bros. Probably can get $2k off. Economy is not good and no body is buying.
Especially when you can get a new 300l for half the price.
@@Tacoexplorer They add ADM of $1200 after they deduct a discount!

What the beta 430 you put a can of whip ass on the husky easy and it was $3,000 cheaper
Reed valve in intake boot''. Reed valve in 4 stroke? Does reed valve decrease hp?
Great review! Which tires did you use for your test?
To confess, they weren't DOT-legal tires (Dunlop MX33s). Don't turn us in.
@@dirtbikeron Thanks! I won’t, haha! 😆
Seems to me the Beta 390RRS would be a better choice.
Beta 390 RS next please
I love the vids but the music could be a bit more up tempo. Reminds me of a bass fishing montage.
Thank you. Music is a funny thing. Some of our viewers want rock. Some want mellow. Some want none. Some want rap. Sorry can't win em all hahaha
All the dual sport videos have this vibe. They know these bikes are for old people like me

This or the FE501s?
All I get out of the extended riding sequences is that dude moves that bike way better than I can. More information, less ride video please.
I can't believe that this bike doesn't have a big flapping tag holder/fender extender waiting to snap off at the first opportunity. 👍
Good point!
@@DirtBikeMagazine Can you share what mod you did to that tail? Pretty please ;o)
Awesome!
It's crazy that this bike is less expensive than an high end emtb.
Exactly why I just got one.. it feels like an MTB compared to my DRZ LOL..
Does this bike have a key? Sort of looks like there's one on the side of the headset.
Yes it does. Sits sideways up by the handlebars. Weird it sticks out like that. Very vulnerable to a branch or something hitting it
soooo expensive, want it, but i cant pay 12 to 14k
Always buy used if you not sponsored.
My rule is if I can’t pronounce it, I don’t buy it👍🏻🇺🇸
The music is so terrible it ruines the entire video…..fire your editor.
