    The Japanese don't intend to use their Type 16 MCVs outside Japan which allow them to forgo a lot of protection features to save weight. Mines and IEDs are not the likely dangers for the Type 16s when they are used to defend their own islands.

    No, it's the Japanese version of the Italian Centauro B1.
    Italy and Japan have a need and need for rapid deployment in mountainous and urbanized areas to block armored vehicles and tanks and support light infantry against possible amphibious landings.

    Very disappointing. You failed to explain how the Type 16 is expected to perform against Godzilla, and the other giant monsters, that regularly attack Japan.
