Im one of many who used to come here when i was a kid in 2013. I have so many memories even though i came there only once. Then i moved from rockford and haven’t been back for a while. So sad to see this place abandoned and vandalized. Many memories were made here. No concern for anything back then. It was all fine here 11 years ago.
I remember coming here all the time as a kid! brings a tear to my eye. I wish could go back, but they were shut down by health inspection for bed bugs, viruses, improper water, ETC. I didnt know you could go in! I've just found my next adventure!

i would go here all the time as a little kid with my grandparents, it was awesome in the winter because the big outdoor water park near their house would always be closed but we could still go and get the waterpark experience. i was sad to see it go, however it definitely was a justified closure.
this used to be a fun place to go and one of the only actual water parks in rockford. in the little kid area they used to play movies on a pirate ship sail. there used to be a pizza hut as well. unfortunately after a few years the pizza hut closed and they only had the bar afterwards
It’s a shame they knocked this place down. I got to go there once and it was one the freakiest thing I’ve ever seen because I remember going their before it was abandoned.
I went twice, the footage here was from the 2nd trip and it was just a few months after the first visit but it had really taken a beating in that short time and was looking like a 70's sci-fi film. The front door was now wide open, months earlier you got in from the back. My first time here I had trouble getting out, this place was like a maze, I couldn't believe all the doors and hallways. This park must have been a blast for a kid when it was open!. Then there was the tennis club next door...LOL

I got in through that havoc unit in the back and right when I stepped out I saw that little kitty pool and it was so weird cause I remember playing in it. So insane to see it like that. I’ve been to like 7 abandoned places and this was the only one that really gave me the chills like nothing else. It’s a whole different experience when you’ve seen it from both sides.
Nah the place just wasn’t well maintained, the hotel had issues with bed bugs and shot like that, and the water park was starting to fail health inspections: dirty water, loose electrical wires, etc. it was just going down on its own

Yeah, I would have loved to have experienced this when I was a kid. Nothing lasts forever, especially in Rockford.

Theres an opening behind the fence with the emty hvac system.
Sadly they already demolished it!!! I used to go here tooo...so crazy to see it like this...also I honestly felt like it wasn’t very clean though
