7:29 I think "asia_c" got used in the final game; though it was changed. If you play the "Mesal Gear Solid" bonus, it is very-similar to the area where you first get the Watermelon Bombs. I think they may have reused this level rather than scrapping it entirely

It could have been true, but this map has a trigger to go back to the main travel map, and judging how it looks, it's likely that the map was supposed to be where there was "extra" content

I didn't know that, I've wondered if AE1 had unused content like that in a while. It really depends on whether they left that stuff on the disc - if not, the only way we'd probably see unused maps is if a prototype version gets leaked

Thank you man, these are incredible. I miss Ape Escape so much. I wish the 4th was a game gimmick as opposed to movies like the third. It could’ve worked. But yeah I miss it so much, such an amazing trilogy 😢 I really wish they kept Eversummer, Tomoki and the Miragr Town levels the most.

A shame that my copy of the game doesn't seem functional anmymore, since it always hangs itself during the Blue Monkey entrance cutscene, and buying a new disc seems pretty hard, not to mention expensive, so, any tips in the comments would be helpful, cause I really miss playing this game without flaws like that ruining the experience.
