Dj instincts are insane. He managed to duck a spinning elbow like it was a jab while pinned against the fence. He’s one of the greatest fighters I’ve ever seen.

She way he rocked him and patiently followed him as he stumbled to land the knee was the coolest thing to see. And what an appropriate finish to snag redemption. Poetic

Whereas many other "goats" have natural advantages like height, reach, weight, etc. this guy is PURE athleticism and MMA skills, as he is almost always smaller, shorter, and less powerful on a punch per punch metric than all the other elites he's fought. He relies 100% on outlier athleticism, pure techniques, and ring IQ.

@@andreascserna ONE FC doesn't do weight cuts, you can find out more about how they weigh their fighters 👍🏻
They have hydration testing via urine sample checking specific gravity prior to weigh ins. Fighters that are big for their weight class are progressively dehydrating leading up the fight in accordance with the rules of One. I have no evidence of any cheating but looking at the size difference it makes you wonder what he is doing to pass a hydration test.

If you watch the replay, you can see DJ land the punch the stunned Morae, and instead of rushing in, he puts his hands out to block any possible defensive strikes while he just tracks his opponent all the way to the cage before placing that knee.
That reminds me of Jones' leg kick to send DC off balance instead of rushing in. That was a surgical ending.
Please don't compare Con Jones to a living legend... Jones and DC are both eye poking,dirty fighters,etc

DJ cardio is insane. I'm just puffed out watching the 2 go at it. DJ was on the backfoot constantly but man oh man, he just didn't stop fighting.
That knee was perfect - he didn't even measure with his arms or try to pull his head down with his hands. He literally felt the distance and jumped
It's like he even timed it right when his head was making contact with the fence too, Adriano got SMASHED.
That's a main event world championship match.He might be pound for pound MMA fighter we have right now. A complete fighter.
He absorbed all of those blows waiting for that exact moment to counter and he nailed it perfectly with the knee. No time to recover for his opponent.
This was my first ever live MMA event even though I've followed the sport for around ten years. I happened to be in Singapore and the event was on during my trip so I got last minute tickets, not only this fight but the whole card was amazing. Seeing DJ in action live was definitely the highlight, guy is incredible

The most insane instincts in the game. His judgement in that octagon is ruthlessly unpredictable. Fearless…..

Wow! What a fight! Big ups to DJ for beating a much larger opponent. Moraes is very big for that weight class.
The fact that he got him back with a flying knee. He got him with a more spectacular ko than he got caught with. The second gift was awesome and left my jaw dropped harder than the first!
DJ is an animal. His stamina and gameness is unmatched. The way he switched styles and became aggressive after being on his back for an extended period of time was incredible.
So happy for DJ, also his fighting style way more fun and incredible striking. Way more respect no more boring safe fighting he’s a bonafide hitman
Let me begin by appreciating one championship for giving me the opportunity to still witness not so arguable, the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Mighty mouse's cardio needs to be studied, this fight IQ is so high, the number of adjustments he makes invetween fights with help from his corner is insane, so hard to control on the ground and ultimately the timing of that knee was impeccable.... like he didn't even scuff it, it landed as clean as he expected it to then walked off right after..... doesn't get better than this. 🔥💯🔥💯

If you want to praise flyweight cardio, then you have to praise heavyweight power in equal measure. One weight class-dependent factor does not a GOAT make.

Heavyweight power comes from their mass, (swing and it'll hurt more), whereas wielding Flyweight level speed comes with more of a necessity for solid technique and effeciency. We commonly see heavyweights scoring KO's with wild haymakers, which is not as impressive as the bullet chess that we see at lower weightclasses.
@@many6747 My point is that flyweights cannot KO each other the heavyweights can, just as heavywights cannot partake in "bullet chess" the flyweights do. Praising a fighter for something inherent to his weight class is not exactly convincing in a GOAT argument.

Man this guy is crazy, literally controlled the fight stayed bottom and didn’t look worried one bit!
DJ is so patient and quick at the same time with those follow up kill shots to open up for him. Amazing to watch the dude fight.
This has to be one of the best KO sequences to watch at 0.25 speed, seeing DJ enter space with his lifted knee and high left hand to overload Adriano with info, to predict the check left hook and load up so much power with his athletic spring then land a punch directly on Moraes ear which ruins his equilibrium. Then to follow the unstable Moraes with such grace and patience, calculating his range to land a picture perfect knee KO. Absolute top tier athletes!
