You reminded me my first work day 12 years ago. I started to work at hidrobiological laboratory as engineer and there worked only 4 hours😂. Because my specialty was environmental engineer for industry, pollution control. After then in that day I was sent to water control laboratory as pollution control in water samples and I felt self as at home. That's why environmental specialist needs be careful choosing job. You need exact purpose. Before choosing specialty you need to know Who you want to be?
Untill now I watched the best video about the environmental topic. Because I am also environmental engineer for 12 years in petrol company. You were translater my feelings and thoughts about the specialty.
You can do it!!! To be honest, I also thought I sucked at math until I got a really good teacher and tutor and changed my mindset. Mindset is everything!
Am doing my second year and am very uncertain of what am gonna but certainly gonna do my masters degree🧘🏾♀️...please help me identify my 4 or 5 field in environmental sciences👏🏾

Really? Is it because it is more common? It may also seem that way because for most Env. Science jobs you need to have a Masters degree, so most people who don't study further don't qualify.
@@KatlegoMakgopo I have a Master's Degree In Environmental Science but still it sucks to find a job. Its only few who get jobs. Even now when you search for Environmental Science or Management they are always few. You mostly find they want 1X Environmental Officer but for Environmental Health Practitioner they turns to need like five or more. Honestly speaking i wish i have done Environmental Health because the government and even private companies turns to prioritized it more than Environmental Science or Environmental Management. I think the main reason it got so many opportunities is because it falls under essential services. My cousin did it and she never struggled to find a job not like the rest of us who did Environmental Science.
hi i took home science as an optional subject instead of mathematics for 12th grade. so will i still be able to pursue my desired environmental science degree for bachelors?
Hello 😊. For science qualifications at a university you need mathematics...however, there are some colleges and private institutions that offer environmental qualifications. I'm not sure if they have math as a requirement, you can do some research and find out
Hey I'm doing Life and Environmental Sciences in Physiology and Biochemistry. Honestly, I don't know whether I fall into any niche in the industry... Do you have any advice? Worst thing for me is the workload. Yoh. This degree has been LONG.
Hello. There's so much to do in the fields of biochemistry and physiology. However, you may need to specialize in a specific field via a postgrad qualification (I'm not really familiar with the field). From my little research you here are some of the careers: 1. Research scientist 2. Clinical biochemist 3. Pharmacologist 4. Biotechnogist 5. Lab technician 6. Environmental health specialist (and many others) You can do some research on these and see what else you find. Hope this helps 😊
got my AS in environmental science, moving towards bachelors now but do you think its a good idea to do a specialized BAS like renewable energy or sustainability..or should i just go ahead and get my BAS in environmental science?
I would suggest doing Environmental Science, because it gives you a broader view of the field. Then later you can choose a specialty when you do a postgraduate qualification.
Hello. Yes, I did math is 1st year. I took calculus and statistics (both full year courses). However, my university has since changed this and now students take algebra in first year (I'm not sure if calculus is still offered) and statistics in second year. Math is very important for any science degree
i am graduated in 2019 from wollega university within Environmental Science Degree ...i want to meet you dear...i want to ask you question in your person page
Helloooo, I am really interested in environmental activities such as recycling and also renewable energy field. I am currently in college now and i really wanna follow my interest but i have no idea what should I actually do. can you please help me?

❣️🥰 Haven't yet started doing my studies but soon I will ❤️🙏
Very informative 💯🤗
You mentioned changing at any point. How do you do this and what degrees would you have to do to allow you to change careers easily?
Hey katlego ,,,,is majoring in botany and zoology a good choice
Your videos are educative! 💗
Thank you
I really loveee your videos...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !!!❣️🥰
Thank you 🥰😊
The Masters part you are right 😢
Funny but sensible advice
I really want to study environment science but I’m not really suck at math tbh😭

@@KatlegoMakgopo Thankyou tho! I will try all my best to get better
I have done my graduation in chemistry, can i apply for environmental science or management for master ??

Don't stress too much about it, in second year I didn't have stuff figured out either
In terms of fields, what "modules" are you currently doing?
@@KatlegoMakgopo Demography and population ,...Climatology (introduction),... people, space and environment,...Quantitative techniques in Geography and Remote sensing & GIS
The two major fields you are studying now are Atmospheric Sciences and Social Sciences
GIS can be used in both these fields and others for data analyses. You can just Google the two fields and find out what they are about
People who usually have more job opportunities turns to be those who have done Environmental Health.

Hi , for taking up degree in environmental science which subjects do we need most
You need to have mathematics.
The minimum requirement is a Master`s degree? 😨
No, you can find a job with a Bachelor's and even an Honours degree but from my experience, having a masters degree gives you a competitive edge.
