You explained the difference between environmental studies and environmental sciences really well(especially when you made the example) . I really needed clarity on that. Thank you❤️
thank you for this video! i originally wanted to study marine biology but i'm not able to leave the city so bsc environmental science is the only option for me. i've been stressing over this for months so your advice was somewhat useful, i just hope i don't regret it
So I have applied for MS in environmental science from UK and I have been so confused if I should really go for it or not so thank you for sharing something to consider really appreciate you telling us about it ❤️
Thank you so much Katlego. It's refreshing to finally see an actual student of this degree instead of just reading about it. I'm in matric rn and I believe I'll be studying this next year, I'm excited 🥰
i’m thinking of switching my major from biology to Environmental Science. i’m very passionate about the topic but i’m worried that there won’t be any job opportunities. How do i check if there are jobs around me or if they accept a bachelors in Environmental Science?
Hi. The easiet thing to do is to just Google "environmental science jobs in SA" so many options pop up. From there you can make a list of the major companies in the field and visit their websites find out more. I mention a few of these companies in one of my videos...I think it was titled "careers in env. sciences"
That was such a good video I wish all TH-camrs were like you. You get straight to every point and everything was so clear and simple I didn’t even need subtitles and you didn’t even need to cut up your video what a boss pussy slay queen fr

Thank you very much for this content, it came at the very best moment and I did not even know I needed to know it. I was at that very pont. I was almost making a huge mistake
Env. Science focusing on studying the natural environment and how humans impact it whilst Env. Health focuses on how the environment affects people I order to promote healthier lives. So u guess you can think of them as opposites
Hiii ! I want to study about clean energy and environmental pollution.. is it worth studying environmental sciences.. and where I can find best universities for this.. your suggestions are valuable plzz suggest..
Hello. Yes, I would suggest studying environmental sciences. Different universities focus on different aspects and offer different majors. I would suggest you look at the programs offered and see which one suits you the best.
i could barely hear what you are saying.. please put the mic closer to you next time. i'm having difficulties in hearing what is being said, but im sure its good and might give out a good direction in the future
Just came across this video, I recently graduated with a bachelor of science in environmental science majoring in environmental and life sciences from the University of KwaZulu Natal I’m currently looking for an internship, if you have plug please tell us know
Always keep an eye on the SANBI website for the Groen Sebenza internships. You can also look on LinkedIn. If you don't have one already, I highly recommend doing an Honours
Hey guys ,i need some guidance in making a decision for my A level class ,i have geography andbio but i don't want to do maths ,so which subjects are needed for studying environmental science /studies?🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
So would this be an appropriate course for a college sophomore who needs to fill their science credit? I don’t have a desire to major in this (as far as I know) and I don’t want an extremely challenging course.
I think all courses are challenging in their own way. BSc courses are definitely a good choice when you're still trying to figure out what exactly you want to major in. They offer a solid foundation
I would like to know if I could go further learning Master in Environmental Science after Bechlor of Environmental Studies. Because of some conditions, I chose Environmental studies but what I prefer more is Environmental science. But there is no program for Environmental Science in my Uni. Pls could u answer me 🥺
Hi, yes! I highly recommend you do an MSc. Especially if you want to work as a scientist. Also having an MSc is an advantage cos of all the practical skills you learn vs just a bachelor's degree. I suggest you look around different universities and see what they offer for their MSc programs and you can also check out a video I made on how to apply for postgraduate studies. I hope that helps 😊
@@KatlegoMakgopo I gained a lot of knowledge from your channel since this field is new to me and I had no idea at first. Thank u so much for your information 🥰
hey im currently doing matric this year ...i want to know if environmental science would be the ideal course to do if im interested in doing G.I.S ....
Hi please also do your research on Geo Informatics. It's a new field of study so a lot of people don't know about it. It has a lot of GIS and you might be interested
There are a lot of courses now that are specifically GIS focused, you just have to find which major it is classified under because it differs but yes in most places it is under geography
Hello...am an environmental studies student at one of the leading universities in Kenya.Could you please shed more light on which field I should major in because I want to do a postgraduate (Master's) in Environmental engineering.🙏
I really need your help in environmental sciences cause thus what am applying for this coming January......am very interested in your expectations so I think of gaining some knowledge from you.thanks
Guys I want to know the courses under environmental science someone to tell me please or at least share with me text books names to download.. please 😢
Hello Precious 😊. What specific content or information are you looking for in the textbooks? My advice is, first search the topic you want info about on Google and see what sources come up. Google might also suggest books for you to check. You can then go to your university library and see if they have the books. I hope this helps 🌱
I often used different books from the university library to look for information on certain topics. This is because some textbooks explain better than others.
@@KatlegoMakgopo what you think about pursuing masters in environmental sciences from Germany and Nordic Countries? I mean the colleges , their Fee structures and other expenses. Would it be Worth
Honestly, I can't comment because I have no experience of studying in those countries. However, I believe it doesn't really matter which institution your degree is from as long as you're doing what you want to do.
