- In today's video we do something slightly different; in celebration of easter we do an EASTER EGG HUNT in Eu4. More or less players pretend to be ai in game and myself joined by will have to guess which countries are controlled by players. This is our third annual Easter Egg Hunt and thus far i remain undefeated, can my streak continue? Or will the discord beat me?

I'm impressed that Hungary managed to change the names of like half of the provinces before you figured them out.
as a hungarian it was hilarious understanding the names they were renaming to, genius to go with a language you know to make it authentic 😂

@@hashtagrex I agree, I live in Transylvania and the names were hilarious. I know a little bit of Hungarian and though I didn't fully understand some of them, Békéscsaba had me rolling lol.

How to outsmart a human in specator mode
Step 1: play as Burgundy and declare the random war for Liège
Step 2: ally the weakest nations you can find
Step 3: wait for the Burgundian inheritance event and choose to be under PU and get wait to get inherited (via event which is even worse)

12:32 - IIRC Laith has this backwards, if the province is owned by a player vassal, the AI overlord can transfer the occupation by themselves. QQ letting their vassal have occupation seems to imply to me that QQ is the player and just dodged a bullet lmao.

but my vassals always transfer their ownership to me unless they have a claim or core
@@minderbart1 If the vassal has a claim or core (or maybe province of interest?) the Overlord Sometimes let's them keep the occupation.
I think it's just because Karabag and Erzurum have both Armenian culture, so it somehow gets to keep it
It's because of the culture. If QQ doesn't want the province they let karabakh keep it since karabakh wants armenian provinces.

As soon as Austria and Burgundy realized I renamed Valois to Slough they were hellbent on taking it for themselves. Also if you look closely as Laith zooms out after finding me, you can see my right honorable army fighting against moldavia's in order to lay siege to their capital. I somehow managed to take it before the game ended. Fun times! Can't wait for next year's game!

The city the world 🌍 would desire most is a newly built one in Madagascar, due to it being the best place to put a world capital, due to its isolation, making dying to rebels much harder. Plus its temperature is pleasant.

Wienerwald is acctualy a real Province, it's Namen After the Mountain range there wich is namen After Vienna, cause Viannese in gemran is Wiener.

In the end my game crashed so I just listened to discord.
Was an enjoyable event after all, but next year when I would get approved it won't be this easy 😉
One way to know for sure is that someone is a player is if all their diplomats are occupied.
EDIT: It also seems a lot of players broke the one letter difference rule. Definitely Lithuania, you can literally see it change from "Vinica" to "Vinicas" in the video. Strasbourg, I think broke the spirit of it, as they did change the name to the English transliteration, and the province is normally "Straßburg".

9:50-You missed Orleans drilling as you were talking about catching Austria because their troops were drilling.
They should get extra points when rename the whole name and when they only miss spelled the province, and maybe extra points when they make fun of laith
Here's a tip for next year: The AI is obsessed with devving the production in future coal provinces. Often even more than gold mines. So while there are few of these, if you have a nation with a future coal province that is not also a gold province, that one will usually have the most dev clicks out of any province.
I see them mostly deving tax there
Burgundy went with a meta 4-cav stack, the AI loves building just really weird units and/or overbuilding cav. Army composition is definitely something to look out for!
Don't forget the mil tech 7 full back row artillery
Here's my pitch, EU4 but every time your ruler dies you pass the game on to another player.
It's actually called Nation Succession or Schizo Succession and there's a couple EU4 playlists about it from a bunch of different TH-camrs throughout the years
next year Laith should get shocked for each incorrect guess.

I have to say, it would make the video several times better, if Will were electroshocking Laith each time he makes an error or blinks.

Lithuania was the most obvious. While you were discussing if countries were drilling you could see them drilling. You could also see them changing province names while you guys were looking straight at him

There wasn't a certain criteria to it, but the general gist was the province name change wasn't supposed to be super subtle.

The biggest issue I see here is that AI gets an extra diplomat. With access to the outliner you can instantly tell.

blue - the original portugal color from the county of Portucale and the borgonha house
green- the color from aviz dynasty(which of course decents from the borgonha one)
also the blue was also in the flag, where today is the green was blue even during the bragança times, i'm no expert in portugal history so idk where they got the red, prob Cristiano Ronaldo Knows something about that. i think they made portugal green not only by the flag influence, but by some color scheme, idk just feels right to portugal be green, like the dragons that supports the coat of arms of the bragança, they are also green, so kinda associates

Wouldn't a great tactic be to just rename your provinces with the names of the neighbouring province?
Can you see the extra diplomat the AI has in observer mode? Because Muscovy only has two diplomats if played by a player.
You can. That's why Lithuania only had 2 diplomats and they were both active. The AI always keeps their extra one free for diplomatic actions.

It is day 157 since I asked you to do the challenge with Croatia in VIC 3 but in one of the videos, a good person named Andraip (Thanks for all the help) said it has a few flaws so it's time to correct them. So when you start playing as Croatia you have 15 years to get your independence, after that you cannot ally, get in a defensive pact, and you cannot be under any kind of protection and you must rival these powers as soon as possible: Austria, Russia, Serbia, Montenegro, Ottomans, and all nations from the Italian boot. You also must embargo all those nations and cannot enter their custom union nor can they enter yours. You cannot be in an alliance with any of the top 10 nations, including a defensive pact custom union, or protectorate, but you can trade with them. AI must be put on the default settings in case it isn't. If you ally let's say Portugal, and later on they get into the top 10, you must break the alliance. You also must stay monarchy all the time. Form the Danubian state with Croatia following these rules. (FYI incase I didn't make it more specific, you cannot join anybody's custom union you must always at all times have your own market)
