is fordham park safe at night? i found a flat near by, but also heard that parks aren't the best choice.. any thoughts?

fordham park is near goldsmiths and in general i think university areas are pretty safe. i did not go out very late at night so i can't confirm anything... but goldsmiths area also has quite a few clubs so there will be people around at night

I'm studying computer science by distance learning provided by goldsmith and I do wish one day I'd be able to transfer there for study.
