The Jungkook one always makes me so uncomfortable and sad he was a teen and spending his hard earned money on burgers all for them to not accept and call it left overs. There is a difference between comedy and just plain disrespect
Agree ....I felt like crying when I first saw that video but still when he met that host again on "You Quiz" he hugged that man .... Jungkook is so pure and humble 💜
The way Jungkook said “why aren’t they accepting it?” breaks my heart every time I watch this clip. He was just a kid who bought them food with a good heart. 🥺
I could probably make an entire video about the disgusting situations taemin (SHINee) has been in. Ever since debut he's been sexualised, touched and had comments made about him bearing in mind that he debuted at 14. The behaviour that some interviewers and TV show staff showed towards him is so bad that he even mentioned about how he felt like he lost his teenage years. Those situations are always excused by many by saying “hes too attractive” but he's a child. In all of those incidents he's seen visibly uncomfortable and it breaks me every time, honestly the industry is just full of pervs.
The comedian who was mostly responsible (Lee se young / not the actress) got a little bit of hate and she disappeared for a while but she is back now as a comedian and bodybuilder after an insane amount of plastic surgery... and noone cares about what she did
They screwed themselves because BTS members didn’t appear on their show for years. In the early days people were terrible to BTS. Their first appearance on Weekly idol the host said he wanted Got7 instead just as BTS was walking in. They came on Weekly idol again and crashed the switchboard and all the phones because of fans calling for a request. They started their own Variety Show and only went on Music Shows. Best Decision Big Hit could have made.
I still can't accept it to this day when I see Jungkook not being appreciated like that, and look, he's even still showing his sweet smile even though I know he's really hurt by being rejected like that. 😢
JK was young back then. Those guys were much older than him. So disrespectful. Pisses me off. I would love to have that exact group together today. You guy's want a burger? Give them cow patty burgers. Enjoy.
Ben, the incident with JK is so devasting especially those who watch it online. and this is the reason why BTS does not appear for the longest time in Korean Television and created their own show. and this is the reason why ARMY are so protective of BTS. because of these uncomfortable situations they encounter because before they come from a very small struggling company Big Hit
I always cry when Jungkook gives me a burger but it's rejected and what's even worse is he says it's leftovers even though Jungkook bought it using his own money.😢
As a Stay my heart goes to all these Kpop groups and I'm so proud of Monsta X especially the way they handled that interview. I wonder what she expected by downplaying their accomplishments and bringing in BTS. What did she expect seriously like these two groups are top kpop groups and any accomplisment by any Kpop group or K idol out of their country is a win for them as Korean citizens. I bet BTS were also proud of Monsta X. Some people are just too toxic. This was just pure clickbait knowing how popular BTS are and make armies watch her shitty interview. And the way she was rude...
her voice was like "bruh YOU guys make history today? I bet is BTS who really doing it" and i'm sure her face was like too like wtf I'm really hate this interview, I was so pissed off back that time, and now too lol
People used to be mad that BTS stopped attending variety shows. They obviously stopped for a reason. They got hella mistreated because they were from a small company.
"The Jungkook one is devastating" Are you kidding me? Number 6 is 100% harassment, I would sue those staff women immediately, this is so disgusting, I can't imagine to how many girls and boys groups sh!ts like that happen.
It always pisses me off whenever I see that video clip of Jungkook. Those were the times when they weren't that globally popular yet. Remember, the senior celebrities in the entertainment industry ignores them before, not even respect them at least as a human being. Those experiences they encountered where written in the lyrics of the Cypher songs of the RapLine. But nowadays, one of those hosts has apologized already and now are friends with the members. These kind of experiences that the BTS members encountered in the past were really frustrating but at the same time they took it as lessons and even inspirations to be better human beings and to create epic songs.
The JK one didn't stop with the hamburger. They also removed his seat cushion and name sign away from the sitting area where they were filming the show and put them to the side away from the main cameras. JK was sitting on the cushion by his name sign for a bit after the rest went over to their seats until someone came to get him. The only person that didn't participate in that, got verbally attacked for eating one of the bugers, and looked after JK the rest of his time on that show was actor Kim Min Seok who was also treated rudely on the same show. This was the first show JK went on by himself without the other members and this happened on episode 1. There were comments posted at that time complaining about how JK and KMS were treated. It wasn't until years later after BTS became to big for K-media to ignore due to global media acknowledgement of their achievements that apologies were given. Although BTS has said they have accepted the apologies and moved on. I feel the apologies were only given due to BTS's popularity, fear of how big the fandom is, and how their careers could be in trouble.
Ben just so you know that years later, one of the hosts on the show apologized to JungKook. So everything is good, but I do feel so bad for JungKook in this situation. Thank you for keeping us entertained Ben ❤
I know your comment is meant to be a comfort but honestly, as an ARMY myself, nothing is good. The person apologised because now Jungkook has influence, nobody wants to be on his bad side, but I really don’t think the person actually genuinely felt even an ounce of guilt or remorse for his actions.
to this day, i never NEVER have the courage to watch that video again, i always skip it. jungkook may forgive him, but i don't. that video always bring tears and rage to me. those people must be some genuinely insensitive and ignorant person to ever reject what someone, a teenager, a guess on their show, bring.
I'm sorry, I don't accept that. An apology can never undo people's harmful actions, and their behaviour towards JK was just appalling. A teenager, who came alone (without his group) to their show, as a guest, and they treat him like that? What's wrong with those people? This is somebody's child! (JK forgave them because he has a heart of gold and probably didn't want to hold a grudge within himself forever, but that doesn't absolve them of their cruelty.)
Treating your guests badly for your own glory and some laughs is and will always be shitty behaviour. If your business model is based on that, be sincere and issue a warning label before hand, not an apology years later. Give idols a choice before getting mistreated.
Ben it was very common for bts to be treated badly just like jungkook did in korean variety show as they were no from big3 company . Around 2015 bts created their own variety show called Run bts which is available on TH-cam .
You know its messed up when these moments can make YOU feel uncomfortable as well. I feel so sad and angry why do such people like this exist, like taking upskirt photos and etc being disrespectful, but for me i hate all the moments and things that have happend, the jungkook one is really sad. The joy on a bull is disgusting, and the female staff grabbing idol groups private area was straight up gross. These people should go to jail
I can legit say I'd rip everyone in all these scenarios for putting these kpop idols in these situations. These actions are all totally unacceptable. These performers are PEOPLE. If the roles were reversed, no one who has overstepped boundaries would take the same treatment. I came out of the womb with issues with authority, and no societal norms have broken it. I would not take this crap. Lawdy, i could NOT see this sort of thing happen in front of me because I would step in. It's bullying. Some of the treatment was demeaning. They are NOT property. They are people. As I watched, all I could think was WTAF... who is protecting them.
I swear it is so sad to see K-pop Idols go through this there is at least one time where a guy told one of a girl group member to lift up their skirt honestly I think that K-pop idols should not be used as dolls
Weekly Idol is bad enough but at least the idols had the chance to roast the hosts back if they want to - nothing beats American interviews for pain and suffering. Americans failing to understanding anything kpop and the idols not being able to just tell them to eff right off (watch Namjoon with every interview... he is one dumb comment away from snapping at all times) honestly takes years off my life.
The JK one still makes me cry 🥹🥹 how can people be so rude?? There’s joking and then there’s just being plain mean! & JK was so sensitive at the time too which makes it even more heartbreaking 💔 I love your empathy Ben!
Wtf!!!! Poor guys, I can’t believe anyone could think it’s ok to just go and grab their crotch!!!! Like WTH!!!! And is caught on camera, like is the most normal thing in this world. This was outrageous.
Okay so I just wanna put out another annoying uncomfortable scenario because it’s really annoyed a lot of zerose zerobaseone (zb1)’s fandom zerose have noticed the mistreatment Ricky gets from legit most staff members and it’s just🤡annoying because basically what happened was Ricky one of the members went on a live by himself and didn’t know he needed permission to go on live so I think their manager came and told him to cut the live he cut it and 2 of his other members gyuvin and gunwook were also on live(they got permission) and Ricky got bought outside the room and got shouted at for a good 4 minutes 30 seconds, and people could hear him getting scolded on gyuvin and gunwook’s live even tho they tried their best to mask out the sound u could still here the shouting, The annoying thing about this is he simply could of quickly told Ricky oh u can’t go on live without my permission don’t forget but no he scolded him for 4 minutes 30 on 1 small thing and he’s been mistreated previously anyways it’s just so disgusting if u can’t get ur point across without shouting why r u even their manager
I seriously can’t watch the part when women harassed the male K-pop idols because that should never be normalised not in any generation harassing someone male or female should not be okay
The Jungkook one always makes me sad, I personally LOVEEEEEE burgers, I would've eaten it on the spot, ESPECIALLY if THEEE Jungkook gave it to me...js sayin
Nice videos and thoughts about K-pop. I really like the way you do it. I am just trying to understand how this world actually is but I didn't have any idea this could happen in such an organized and highly educated culture.

The jungkook one the people of that show were not joking, because at that time bts weren't big in korea or overseas and if you weren't in the big3 at that time idols would get mistreated even more, and bts got mistreated on shows soo much that they stopped going to shows and they started to make their own.
WOOOOOOOOOW. First, the very first one was SO freaking uncomfortable to watch! WTH was that?! That poor woman. Then the Jungkook one....WHAT?! Who does that?? WTH. When someone does something kind, you say THANK YOU. This was so disrespectful, I can't even. And then the one with the female comedians...WTAF did I just watch?! That is SA. The fact that this was a "routine" just makes it WORSE. And wow...Idols' safety should ALWAYS come first. There should not be fireworks used at shows for a group that includes a member with actual trauma around them. Seeing her cringe and even run and HIDE...WTH. I guess this is just another example of how companies care more for $$$ than for the idols making them those $$$. Kinda like the super cold water for Twice, but much worse. And I really wish Western media would STOP comparing every single kpop group to BTS! OMG. BTS is great, but groups making their own mark should NOT be compared to them.
and we watched that interaction in real time since it was completely live, even though they werent big yet in 2016 we really called this bs out, imagine trying to do that to him now, the discrimination against smaller artists is so shit. from this point on after 2016 they barely went onto any variety shows
The Jungkook one always makes me so uncomfortable and sad he was a teen and spending his hard earned money on burgers all for them to not accept and call it left overs. There is a difference between comedy and just plain disrespect
Now i want a cheeseburger 🙁 this clip makes me always sad too☹️

Yeah the one of the horse I could hardly watch. 😢
That girl who was affected by fireworks 😢😢poor thing
and we watched that interaction in real time since it was completely live, even though they werent big yet in 2016 we really called this bs out, imagine trying to do that to him now, the discrimination against smaller artists is so shit. from this point on after 2016 they barely went onto any variety shows
Oh the Jungkook vid makes me livid 😠
I want too cry for jungkook everytime i see this clip it break my heart😔😔
