Jon. Thanks. Great to give Mr Ashcroft's music some kind of sanctification.
Really this tune is a pro life anthem.

I think these two groups do a lot of talking past one another, because there isnt any agreement upon definitions. For example some people say the word "baby" and theyre talking about everything from two cells up to birth, whereas others look at two cells under a microscope and dont think thats a baby at all.
This disconnect is compounded when we live in a world full of misinformation and interest groups dedicated to distorting scientific data and philosophical scholarship. Conflict makes it easier for those in power to distract the commoners who might otherwise hold them accountable.
I compare the abortion issue with veganism. The majority of the world eats animals and causes them immense and unnecesary suffering for no reason other than to please their tastebuds. I see this as gravely immoral so i dont contribute to it, and im willing to discuss and defend my position with anyone who is open to listening, but i dont support any effort to threaten or decieve or force the clear majority to obey my views on veganism. Similarly, i understand that a prolife individual may see abortion as a deeply immoral action taken for no other reason than convenience and selfishness, but i hope that they would mirror the same decency to not threaten, decieve, or force the clear majority to obey their views on it.
If we can present sound argumentation to win someones genuine conviction, thats wonderful, thats how adults should shift the overton window if that's their goal.

If you don’t want an abortion - don’t get one . Not everyone agrees - pro life can be pro the life of the woman - beaten/raped/abused … Or pro the life of an 11 year old raped by her uncle - 😢
Each case is different - stand up for all … ‘babies’ can be that 11 year old .

This kind of argument fails to understand the pro-life position sufficiently. I believe that abortion and murder are morally equivalent, you wouldn’t tell me “if you don’t like murder don’t commit one” or try to use emotional pleas to make me understand how hard someone’s life would be if their victim survived. That might sound like a bad comparison, but that’s genuinely what your argument sounds like to me, they’re morally the same and it’s on you to convince me otherwise if you are the one supporting killing, not on me to sit back and let people do as they please. That would be unacceptable to you on any other issue.
