Think about the fact that Dimash had not been separated from his family before this show and at age 22 found himself isolated in a foreign county where he didn't know anyone, speak the language, had to perform first, and compete against seasoned Asian singers. Also, asking his father if he did well makes him more lovable in my eyes. More Dimash, please!

Dimash has such a level of vocal skill that he is generally always confident on stage. He is an incomparable stage beast, you will see for yourself. In one interview, he said that only before SOS was really upset, but not because he was unsure of his abilities - he was worried about the Chinese audience would accept him or whether they would like him. All the other participants are recognized, famous and beloved singers in China, with many years of artistic achievements, and Dimash was invited as the so-called wild card - the youngest, unknown. Therefore, he was asked to perform first, and the "better" ones were left for later. After SOS was performed, everyone was shocked, the competitors, the audience (500 people who voted every episode) and the TV viewers. Dimash became a sensation in China overnight. and he were given protection. After SOS, there was a shock and delight, and after Opera 2 everyone loved him. Dimash also said that if he knew Dad was in the audience, he wouldn't be flirting with the audience like that. How cool that he didn't know!
Dimash later related that when he and his father got off the elevator on their way to the studio the next day, they encountered a wall of screaming people - Dimash said, "Dad, something terrible has happened, are we safe? 👀 "and then some men grabbed them and dragged them through the shouting crowd to the car - then he thought they had been kidnapped 🤣. It turned out to be their personal protection, because people were crazy about him 😍 Hugs , stay safe

Plz react to Autumn strong next, there is a really sad backstory to this song and Dimash sings it so beautifully that he was voted the best foreign singer in China for 3 years in a row. The words are beautiful and they aren’t about death but they fit so perfectly for me personally that I’ve told my family I want this song sung at my funeral, hopefully later rather than sooner

They are a famous chinese band, and the lead singer is a good friend of Dimash since I am Singer. They were contestants.
The band is "The Liones" and got 3 place in the singer copetion.They are friends and also songs on stage together sometimes...at least there singer. Also he got outhers there as friends to. Terry Lin he calles Father or Papa Lin! They both invite eatchouter to there conserts and also are singing together as duo "Unforgettibleday" that Dimash wrote as 17 years old!!!

The band is called Lion. The others are competitors or producers. The people in the dark are audience members who vote each week! This is week 2. Much more fun performance...his fun side coming out. Dimash loves his family so very much. After Dimash’s first solo concert in Kazakhstan there is a wonderful video of Dimash’s dad hugging him and just sobbing and sobbing for his son’s happiness and success! I have 3 sons and made me cry with such emotion.
Dimash id the best Singer in the world!!! with this song in particular Dimash shows that he SINGS with his pure voice for all notes, not like other singers who use to sing this song and in the supreme momemts they only scream ... and even though they dont want (they want to forbid) Dimash to sing Opera 2. Sure they understand that they lose with Dimash. Just let him sing it and Opera 2 will be more known in th world because it is a wonderfull song.

Kanat, his father went as a surprise. This was the first time Dimash stayed far from.hus family, he doesn't understand the language, and he really missed his family and friends.
In Kazajstan is a tradition to live children, parents and father's grand parents together. First children is given to Grand parents to raise, cause hierro aknowledge, time, etc., so parents can keep studying or developing their carreers.
Dimash fans are pursuing a monumental effort to help him get introduced to North American audiences via MTV's TH-cam CHANNEL on Fridays between 5-8 pm New York time. Each of us can help that effort by figuring out when that show airs in our time zone and then typing REQUEST DIMASH (no song titles or emojis because those cancel the vote) in the chat that rolls to the right of the livestream. His song finished at #3 on Oct. 16 but we need to get him to #1. There is also a way to vote for him if you use Twitter. A video called, "Wanna See Dimash on MTV Livestream?" shows the correct format to use in order for your vote to count. Let's all do our part to help Dimash succeed worldwide!

He was very cheeky in this performanc. He was so surprised after the performance that his Dad was there as he surprised him. Dimash said he wouldn’t have been so cheeky had he known his Papa was there watching.
He was so homesick and doesn’t speak Chinese. I’m sure he felt alone and was so happy to see his dad. You can see h e looked a bit choked up when hugged him.
Opera 2 is a song from Vitas. Dimash was asked to sing for the competition, but aparently, organizers haven't asked for permission, so Vitas and his lawyer have sent a prohibition to Dimash to sing again.

Dimash of course loves his father. But in his culture the grandparents raise the eldest child. His grandmother enrolled him in the music academy. At 12 years old for three years he tried out for a singing contest and failed every time till he was 15 and was allowed to compete. He went through the different levels and won. The prize was a scholarship at the university. His parents didn’t know about this till he told them when he won. When the producer of the creators movie and composer of across endless dimensions called for dimash to do the soundtrack that he wrote for dimash, dimash couldn’t come to Italy because he lived with his grandparents and couldn’t bring the virus back to them. He did the MV somewhere else. The premier came out in Italy October 8th. It isn’t released everywhere else yet. The composer hired three singers to record the song so dimash could learn it. But even they couldn’t reach all the notes.

The guys, whom you pointed out are also contestants with Dimash. They are four guys band named " The Lion band". They and Dimash became friends in the course of 14 weeks competition and are still friends. The lead singer of the band, Jam Hasiao( may have spelt wrong), and Dimash performed together few times👍👍👍. Other people backstage are contestants and their managers. SOS was episode 1 and Opera2 is episode 2 and he secured first place in both episodes..

Dimash was on a chinese competition called the singer a few years back and Dimash didn’t even win can you believe that. He also sang Lionel Richies “hello” in his own way it’s awesome
Dimash was an unknown in China when he accepted the wild card position in “The Singer” competition. All the other competitors were established artists in China with large followings. Also, Dimash was the youngest (22), and the only foreigner. He knew only a few words of Mandarin Chinese; and he committed to living in China for the 14-week (?) duration. He had NO IDEA how the Chinese audience would react to him; or how he’d fit with his competitors. And S.O.S. was the very first song of the entire show! So I’m sure he WAS nervous when he sang that first time!; and must have been very relieved that the audience loved him! And his competitors “adopted” him as their “foreign little brother.” They were very sweet to him.

The ones in the room are the other contestants on the show - but they are all already famous recording artists. Dimash was the unknown wild card, so their reactions to him are their real surprise. Their faces are so fun to watch as they are musical enough to recognise vocal talent and showmanship.

This was only his second performance in the competition. The people backstage are the other competitors. He made good friends with a couple of them and has since performed with them on stage. He was the youngest competitor, couldn’t speak Chinese and was away from home for a long time. They genuinely seemed to care for him. How could they not? He’s adorable! ♥️😍

The guys all sitting together are the "Lion Band" and the lady who sang a line and said "too high for a woman" is Sandy Lam who won the competition. He doesn't have any family there (until his Dad came). Every competitor gets paired with a partner who introduces them and stays with them (support, helping etc) through the whole competition. Dimash's partner is a Kazakh singer, music producer but also his translator as he did not speak Mandarin. He's who you'll see singing along often on the sidelines. And who said we waited to show him to not give you pressure.

Good god !! Bless your heart but he was NOT YELLING or SCREAMING , he was SINGING in his soprano register. Dimash is a Singer with a six octave range plus a few notes. This sound is what a coloratura soprano would make except Dimash is a man. He didn’t study for 20 years for it to be regarded as screaming or yelling ! Neither do operatic sopranos scream or yell. Singing!!!!

The band you are referring to at the beginning of the video are called Lion band. They were competitors on that show too. One of them, Jam Xiao, vocalist, became great friends with Dimash.

Some of the stage presence isbsong interpretation. SOS is the song of a man who is uncertain of how he fits in the world. “Why do I laugh why do I cry”
This is the song of a man facing his regrets in the wind (the high pitched parts). Plus it is a silly song that serves just to show off range.
