    This is a review of the portable wood burning grill stove which you can get from Amazon. They come in a number of makes - Redcamp, Lixada, Wadeo, Upkee, Pskook, Powstro and Onlyfire. Whichever one you go with they are all pretty much the same product. I have put a link to what looks to be the most popular one on Amazon. It's a decent device which is small and portable to take wild camping or to do your bushcraft cooking on. As for carrying long distances backpacking its doable at less than 1kg and could be a stove replacement option.

    Tip for you Mr Wild Wales, drill a couple of holes in the sides to take tent pegs to fit the width of a Trangia, and you got that as an option too. Do a couple of sets at different heights for different heats. That's what I did to mine, and it works well, saves getting it hot again in the morning from burning wood. Topman, keep the Vids coming.

    wow this is neet I am one that loves DIY so my head is already thinking how to make one as in South Africa we don't have Amazon . Charcoal will work really well in this grill I am sure

      @MrWildWales  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a thought charcoal would be well suited to using in this! Good luck with making one

    It took me a while to get rid of all the blue plastic in mine, the hinges were surprisingly easy to take apart, the rest was tweezers. You can cut small slots at the top fro the grill to sit in, makes it safer on our inevitably uneven Welsh terrain

      I got bored of it and set it ablaze I guess they burned up 😅 sounds a tidy mod that 👍

    i've owned one of these for a couple of years now and love it.
    The only thing i would say is for skillets and frying pans you need to raise the skillet/pan above the top to give it enough airflow to prevent is snuffing out the fire. Easy enough to make a pot stand from a steel ruler to do this though

      Thanks for the info sounds like there's quite a few mods people are doing with these things👌

    They take the blue plastic off before they send out now ,I found if you turn the top grill mesh the other way and pull the side handle threw the grill mesh handles it makes it a bit more secure 👍

    Nice review but to bulky for long hikes. It looks like car camping would work very well.

      It's not that big when folded but there's probably better options for long distances like the bcb stove 👍
