Your a good weather pointer But you have made a mistake , the mix you used it too hard for those bricks 🧱 a 4-1 sand and cement is like concrete for sand and cement pointing the mix is 6/1/1 lime sand cement.
Why so many negative Nancie's here, dudes beard is cool, its his face, mind your own business! Second, nothing wrong with his work, looks decent, bet you 55 year plus brick boys here learnt over your life not knowing everything from day one, god be more supportive. I am not a brick layer! I use a mortar gun and 5.1.1 mix...BITE ME!
Your pointing is not done to good standards. When you learn to point correctly then you can teach people how to point. So learn yourself before preaching.
@@mrdeafa25 would you let him do work on your house there is no such thing as a pointer bricklayer masons only nothing else that’s who you get to repoint.
Not disputing that pal but 'go home back to your farm'? WTF is that about? Its not the 1970's anymore. I'm pretty sure that with a name like O"Connor your predecessors probably came from Ireland at some time, do people say the same to you?@@alanoconnor1610
Lovely job mate.
Great vid. Good guide on the verticals.
Thank you. 👍
It will weather and look great ..... Too many armchair "master bricklayers" on here . 👍💪🏴
Retired bricklayer have you heard of a tool called a frenchman for cutting the surplus mortar from the bed joint
Your a good weather pointer

obviously thats what he meant@@Jaaammmbbbooo
I’m in the trade for55years, that work is too rough! Try using a 10mm finger trowel, you get no smudging.much faster and use much less muck!!
I agree rough
Back to school for you young man! 75 year old bricklayer.
That's a new, better technique than mine. Nice work, Ivan.

how to create damp 8nside your house.
it should be lime mortar.
hydraulic lime no cement
this only applies if the original mortar is lime mortar. if original mortar is cement based, it is perfectly ok to use a 6 sand, 1 cement, 1 lime mix
25 litres of acid will clean the brick paving...
TBF he has it all well sheeted but I agree he is wasting a lot of gear.
NICE WORK MATE
How much you charge per sqr mtr?
Will be weeks cleaning the cement of the bricks with acid
When u think u know .BUT DONT!
The Neighbor was right to stop you working before 7:30am / that’s the law 👍
👍🏻
Nice job. For the horizontal lines try a length of roofing lathe. Put a couple of screws in to hold it about 6mm off the wall. Works a treat.
Spirit level too long, piece 2/1 straight batten which is handy to handle, also faster, trowel needs to be next size up also
Gr8 video Ivan! Ignore the h8rs. Can I ask how much PVA you add to your mix and what is its purpose? Thankyou
So it bonds better without it won't last a frost
OMG
