Guys this is emotional, it literally made me cry because I can relate so much, and having marks determine your future or "how smart you are" is insane because we have situations in life nje that might end up affecting our marks but that doesn't necessarily mean you are dumb rather it makes you human. Thank you so much Kelebogile and Sihle for this, it took me back🙏🙏💕 and I appreciate how far I have come.
Sihle your videos are really inspiring me . It has took me back in the days where I really wanted to become a doctor up until I felt like maybe it isn't for me. Now I feel like it too late to enroll in medicine. Gudluck with your journey guys.
I failed Maths and Physics in grade 12. I was so discouraged and gave up on my dream of becoming a doctor. I heard of GEMP the year after matric, I decided to register for matric upgrade and get at least 60 in both subjects so I could a BSc. I managed to get a 76 (maths) and 87 (physics). I was accepted to study BHSc at Wits. Now I'm a GEMP II student. Upgrading was and is still one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm so proud of myself that I did it. If you reading this and wondering if upgrading is worth, my answer is YES! Go ahead. Chase your dreams. A dream delayed is not a dream denied.
@@bontlemdau7894 At the beginning of the year, I gathered as many textbooks as I could - both PDF and hard copies. I didn't rush into solving problems and tackling question papers, instead I went through the basics, knew them, memorised them. You won't be able to solve maths problems without knowing the basics and laws applied in each topic. So it's essential. When I was certain about knowing everything expected of me, that's when I went for questions. I started with a few practice questions before past papers. Start with March papers first before November ones. Make use of as TH-cam, it has so many good videos that can help you understand most topics. There's also this show Sponsored by Liberty on Mindset Channel, I forgot its name ( I'll check for it and come back here), they are very very good. Especially with Maths watch it too. They also upload the videos here on TH-cam. One last thing: pray, study hard & smart, then take of your brain by drinking enough water. Good luck ❤️

The way I relate to the two of you😭 most other videos like these are about people who’ve gotten excellent results in matric. It’s good to see something realistic too
I’m doing my second year at university of Johannesburg and I’m studying Bsc in Biochemistry and Physiology… I never liked this course from the beginning… I still hate it… I wanted medicine and my grade 11 results didn’t meet the requirements… been applying since matric… got rejected over 3 times at different institutions… all the things you guys discussed… I can really relate to. But you really moved me today… I just need to accept what I have and take things slowly… it will all fall into place eventually. Thank you guys.
It's so hard to forget about med hey. I mean going through a degree you don't necessarily like just to do what you want to do is hard. Luckily for me I fell for the degree I am doing right now but I still want to do med
I'm watching this video with so much anxiety because I'm about to go back to varsity after failing this was really helpful thank you for your openness because too often people tell you to work hard BUT how you were practical with this
This was so informative like it feels so good to actually get to understand that I can actually do medicine from my university marks😊thanks it was so helpful
Guys I am so tired 😫 😩 I am doing access for maths and will continue my honours with wits and sometimes I feel like if I had chosen something like IT I would have been far in life, but my heart just does not want to let go of this dream.. such an insightful video keep on inspiring us.
Thank you so much for this video. 🤗Hearing other people’s journey into medicine is really encouraging to those who are still waiting for their turn. Enjoyed it.❤️✨
That's so me. I got into grade 12 with the same mentality. I had pride. I was like people are always saying gore 'Tlholo ke crack' so I don't need to study, I know I'm just gonna pass. I would study the day before... I was with my friends all the time, mind you my friends are younger than me. Tomorrow we getting our results, I'm panicking. Busy doing di should've, couldve, must've.
I'm currently in grade 11 I did so bad in the analytical subjects first term I'm in 2nd term now hoping to improve and apply medicine with grade 11 final report
Hi sihle do you think past year papers from other schools might help since my school doesn't want us to access more past year papers because they repeat questions... 😢..I need practice...
Did you write the NBT again? I am asking this because I wrote mine in 2019 the year I matriculated in and now I’m applying for medicine but UCT says my NBT has expired
Heyy sihle I’m a up student who is doing BTRP(town planning) I got 58 in maths and science. Is it possible if I have a session with you or give you my number so you can advise me on what to do because I’m not myself now💔
