Looking good, what kind of times were you putting down and how did you like the RS4's? I'm a little peeved at how much faster you were at the end of the long straight in your S2000 than I was getting in my BRZ.
I am in love with the RS4s! I had been using RE71R tires, but, one time I went to buy but they were sold out, so I "slummed it" with the RS4 tires. Turns out, I actually like the RS4s better. They grip almost as well, but their slip is super smooth... and they last way longer, like... more than twice the time of the RE71Rs. I only buy the rs4s now. My best time was a 2:13.240. The brake zones at ECR for whatever reason kept me fooled for all of the sessions, I am losing a lot of time there for sure and probably all over elsewhere. This was my first time @ ECR, but I definitely plan to go back. What a fun track!
That's good news about the RS4. Coincidentally, I wanted to get a set of RS4's for track tires to go with my autox RE71's but all the Hankooks were on back-order so I slummed it with the even cheaper Falken Azenis 615k+ which held up great. I was in the Red BRZ in the instructor group, it was also my first time at ECR. I got down to a 2:09.3, your lapped looked fast so I thought you might have had me. My fastest lap: th-cam.com/video/YCzDmzsXing/w-d-xo.htmlm52s My video shows braking, but the "brake" is from the accelerometer data and the orientation of my camera gave a few false brake events (seems like some of the elevation and bumps were read as deceleration). I'll be instructing at ECR on March 31 with the SCCA time trials and again at the April 14 open track day, maybe I can either ride along or play the rabbit for you and help you out.
It's definitely a track that favors higher horsepower like TWS did, but TWS was special with the high-speed corners. Nothing like turn 1-2 off that front straight, or turn 7...or 12...or the 5-6 complex. Pavement quality is certainly reminiscent of TWS. New ownership plans to re-do the surface, not sure on any ETA there though. The facilities at ECR though are top notch. All the covered parking you can want, currently free of charge. Enough indoor, air-conditioned, free-wifi seating for *everyone* at the track. Far better than TWS in this regard. A very enjoyable track, but I will always miss TWS. I thought I might be bored with ECR in my s2000 since the track maps look like a lot of straaaaaaaaaaaight-brake-repeat, but, honestly, I had a blast, and the new owners are doing awesome.
If you check out the dash series, the first car data app is actually an IRL project I've been working on :P pythonprogramming.net/data-visualization-application-dash-python-tutorial-introduction/
The Honda S2000 my favorite car. Love the shifter. Nice job!
Cool. Are you going to apply your algorithm of automatic driving from python driving GTA into this real track?

Fun, I want to get my Turbo GT on the track hopefully this year if i can get my stronger clutch put in soon.
I want this track to be a TWS replacement so bad lol. Giving it a shot on the 14th

Wow looks fun!
Would love to see you apply python programming to this! Make videos with setting up a hondash!!!

youre good but the road is terrible wow
Yeah, this particular track is fairly unfortunate with the paving. I didn't mind it to be honest, but they are planning to re-pave.
from cars import honda

honda.fullgas()
are u mgtow?
Hi sentdex, please come home we're waiting for new python videos
