Interesting. Note how when there are several IFVs and the first jet gets shot down, they both don't select the closest or random target, but both select the second jet in line as their next target. It seems like each unit (at elast the IVFs in this case) has some sort of list, where they put in potential targets, and sort the list in order of the time when they encountered each enemy. When they try to select the next target, they all seem to select the target that was encountered the earliest and is still in range (aka when going through their list of encounters they discard all targets no longer in range and select the first in the list, which was the earliest encountered and still in range), hence why they all fire at the same targets, even when there are targets closer. Just an observation, I could be wrong.
This is where flak I think has an advantage, even over the Aegis cruiser due to oversaturation. The splash damage of flak helps to soften other nearby targets a bit, rather than concentrate all damage to a single target, even one that has been destroyed. Question would be though: Flak Trooper, Flak Track, or Sea Scorpion? Also consider Flak Trooper IFV, though I am not sure how well IFV are against their genuine counterparts, let alone in a tank bunker.
A little bit off Topic but again called warzone 2100 which was released in 1999 rebuilt by the community after the game developed her immediate freeware. This game was rebuilt from the Ground Up by the community I must add. but the point I'm making is that the artillery in this game only fire certain amount of projectiles to destroy the target hits targeting meaning that overkill is impossible. For example if a tank takes five projectiles to kill yet to only fire 5 projectiles even if you have many more launches. second since these have a chance of missing it also ignores the ones that miss meaning that five projectors will hit the target even if 6 was shot and one missed. It's a shame we don't see any of these mechanics in any kind of modern RTS games.
dont place the building at 1 line with no empty space. with that they dont really have firepower because the will have the same target and dont kill much. place the building with empty space between each building and then test again. then it should be better
If only the IFVs could each target different Harriers and not waste missles on ones already shot down.

Flak Trooper IFV can not attack air.
Sea scorpion is definitely the best
Flak also has the advantage of being hitscan, rather than projectiles with travel time.

IFV’s in tank bunker would probably more effective than more IFV’s.
