I just want to say I've been growing out my hair for a few months and I stumbled upon your videos for tips on trying to style it. I have thick straight hair and always had in in a buzz cut. But after watching your videos my hair is incredibly healthy and I have people constantly complimenting it and women trying to touch it something I've never thought I would have to deal with.

Its around 1 year, I have subbed blumaan.
I knew nothing about hair and as a growing teen Hairstyles caught my attention.
I have learnt multiple ways for haircare and the most awesome blowdrying techniques from here.
I usually get a haircut. Sides faded slightly and front at 2.5-3 inches. Makes quiff at the beginning and slowly start growing around two months managing the sides helps in getting high volume hairstyles.

great message, this is important, i personally know people literally obsessed with their look, they have an immense insecurity, and for not a really big deal, they understimate their look, and however get too much thinking in it, they think that everything is around look.
Completely random but I feel that I get obsessed with my hair and when I find myself feeling that way I either go really short or buzz it off for a fresh start. Keep up the good work Joe!

You have to understand some people have a family of bald men. I am a woman and my genes dictated that I start graying in my late teens to early 20's. I digress, I find it fun and interesting to watch this video talking about the rudimentary information women learned many many years ago. It is nice to see guys grooming and not just hygiene. ( although there are still lots of people that haven't caught up with hygiene yet) Great video with great information.

2. Does heat protection products actually works ?
i am not sure about hair spray.
but heat protection - if it didn't work, he wouldn't incorporate into the original meraki right? i mean, i know some ppl just wanna sell stuff. i don't think joe is like that. well, from what i know, as long as you put MOST products BEFORE blow-drying, there is a barrier in place. heat protection probably does it on a higher level, but i don't think it gives 100% protection.

I used to use hella product and blow dryed my hair ALL the time, can confirm I still have hair. Also sometimes leaving product in overnight works well for styling

I’m a male who trained as a hairdresser. No matter WHAT you do for heat protection, BLOW DRYING DOES DAMAGE YOUR HAIR. We are men with short hair so it’s pretty much common sense that we do not experience the effects of the damage from blow drying. That being said, anyone with any kind of length will experience splitting, dryness, and breakage from blowdrying.
I blow dry on cool everyday and whenever I go to a salon I get compliments on how nice it is. I have medium long hair and it’s a quiff so I sit the dryer on my hair for up to 6-7 minutes
- you are right. but i guess there are ways to minimise it. heat protection, holding the dryer further, moving it around. but you can't get 100% protection. that's why it's important to take good care of it outside of the times we want the hair to be styled.
- oh btw, joe mentioned a couple of times before that air-drying causes water damage to the hair. while blow-drying damages from the outside, water damages from within, which could be potentially more serious. i am not very sure on how true this is because most researches are against blow-drying; this topic isn't covered as much.
qarhsi yes! The water damage is the primary damage to the hair associated with blow drying. It just occurs from the rapid expansion of the water molecules going from cold to hot inside the hair shaft. I wouldn’t worry about the damage unless you have long hair or intend to grow your hair out

Sulfates also get a bad rep, and yes i have been conscious about sulfates in shampoos, but i don't think it's necassarily bad for you if you use it moderately
Cloud control oil is the best joe,i use it almost every other day and well my hair has never been better ,thnk u for such an awesome product. Its soooo much better than just coconut oil or almond oil ,those things r tooo sticky and its reallly sunny where i live and my skin was being damaged ,no such problems with cloud control

Mmm tried argan oil to but the thing is we have soo many brands here with like fake products ,i cant even tell if its real argan oil or not . Other than that argan oil and another something which i forgot what its name is are the other things i use to use ,and like i said ,its really hot where i live and like i have very sensitive skin .

Okay, there're are different types of alcohols. Fatty alcohols (long carbon chained derived from fatty acid synthesis) are okay for your hair. Something like, ethanol, that is used to make the product dry as it goes on, dries your hair. Im a biochemistry major.

Great video! I am guilty of basing my identity by my hair. Over the last two years or so I've noticed my hair thinning a bit. I started to become increasingly obsessed with my hair line and my routine. Although my hairline is not bad at all for 35 year old, I've just come to realization, fuck it. I had great hair and enjoyed it for the time that I did. I'm ok with whatever happens and will eventually shave my head when I have a gnarly widows peak lol.

The cetyral alcohol thing actually surprised me because I saw it in a hair product and freaked out. But for any doubters go ahead and look at your conditioner, I can almost guarantee that it is one of the first 5 ingredients.
I have uesd cavalier clay by mixing it with argan oil and melting it with my blowdryer and applied it in damp hair then blowdrying it and it works really good......you should try it and also you get a more natural look

I do my hair like every other day and I still have very healthy hair. Been doing this for 4 years
I noticed that I’m losing what I feel is quite a bit of hair in the daily. Just out of nowhere too, most noticeable when washing my hair...or when styling. It comes out in my round brush, or hands. Pretty sure it’s nowhere near 100 strands/day, but it’s still concerning😐 I’m 30 now, so maybe it’s all downhill from here.
