Merry Christmas DeadlyKnot. A Huge Thank You for making 2024 with great videos.. Had been interested in abandoned houses, now after seeing your cemetery videos, interested in both. Looking forward to 2025. Yes, that 1st house is extremely tiny, thank you for not going into the one, dangerous flooring. Looks like rental's?
Merry Christmas and you are welcome! I started out doing abandoned before doing cemeteries. I enjoy doing cemeteries mire rhan abandoned. I'm looking for to 2025 too! The place does look to be a rental property. Not sure of the future but will see!
My guess: around 2018 a developer bought up all the houses with the intent of demolishing them and building something else on the property, but the development plans fell through and the houses remain.
There's lots of little houses like that near me. They were cabins and hunting shacks, sometimes they were built for temporary farm hands to stay in during planting and harvest time.
Good lumber in the one house that is leaning. Bet there is good lumber in the rest that can't be salvaged. That is worth some good money nowadays. Wish I was younger and had more life ahead of me. I would look into it if it was for sale. Thank you for the video. God Bless.
Great video, I'm betting big corporate had bought up the land, but it looks like the houses have been sitting there for a little while. Maybe the deal fell through, or they are waiting to buy up more land, who knows! Of course, it could be an estate hung up in probate. That Smart Globe is vintage from probably 1989 of shortly after. You can still find them online for sale for no less than $23 + shipping. They are really kind of neat and maybe a little more interactive that some things now days! Keep making your videos!
Thank you so much. Oh, yeah I believe that. I wouldn't be surprise if next year this whole entire property will be a big office building of some sort. But yeah, see what the future holds. Is it really vintage? Wow, surprise no one hasn't taken it yet. Thank you so much. I'll keep them coming. Merry Christmas!!
@@DeadlyKnot Yes sort of, at least considered that in the collector world of things like this. It was one of the first ones on the market and they changed the looks and of course the functions throughout the years. They started making them in 1989 and this one as I said is an early one, so at least very early 90's, so probably close to 30 years. I think some vintage things start at 20 years depending on what it is. They still make it, but it has a different look, etc. I think it's a very neat learning tool. It does look like it's missing the little wand thing that you touch the globe with.
they were also called military houses, I bout a house that was kitchen, living room and basement had the bathroom, furnace, hot water heater, then it had addition put on for 2 bedrooms and 2nd upstairs bathroom. next door house was still the old way. living room/bedroom bath and kitchen. no basement
That house with no floor probably had tongue and groove flooring and was scrapped/salved for money. Its one thing to see an abandoned home, but that many in one area is odd. May have been a family in one area.
"Shotgun house" got the name because it's said you can shoot a shotgun from the front door all the way to the back door. New subscriber here. Healthy Happy Holidays ✌️ CT
This was definitely a cool find. I wonder why some of the houses are locked and others aren’t. Plus that one house looks like a gust of wind will knock it down. I’d guess that one structure is a well. That would be nasty if it’s a septic lol. The cubby hole in the one bathroom is a medicine cabinet. I miss having one in my bathroom.
That's a good question! I really think someone was restoring it and left. Yeah, it does lo9k like the wind could blow it down. Is that what that deep hole is for?
@@DeadlyKnot yeah I believe so. Another reason I don’t think it’s a septic is any place I’ve lived with a septic it’s usually underground and covered. When I was a kid my mother owned a house where the septic was failing and the sewage would come above ground. The smell was definitely not pleasant
Shot gun house lol not gun shot house. I could make that shot gun house work. I'm saving this video. I want a tiny home and I like the layout of the bathroom. But the kitchen sink would have to be on the other wall. Where the sink is now could be walled off for a small bedroom with a twin bed. Nice video. Merry Christmas
Have a great Merry Christmas! Last video of 2024! See you all January 1, 2025!
Merry Christmas my dude! See ya next year 😅

This is very interesting, finding a property that is full of abandoned houses. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.

@l_o_c_o_666 Merry Christmas !!
That's the well and water holding tank in the shed. Septic tanks are almost always underground.
Ahhhhh. Okay, I figured it had to do something with water. Appreciate you filling me in.
Also called a cistern. Especially in Texas.
@keithgordon4153 ahhh, that's probably what it is.

Cubby hole ? IT'S A FREAKING MEDICINE CABINET !
Lol
It's called a shot gun house ,,, Merry Christmas ..............
Weirdest style of home design ever lol
Why is it called that?
It's a gunshot house and it's called that because you can see the front door to the back door.
@BettyWhite-rr2wk because you can fire a shotgun from the front door, through the backdoor and not hit anything in between with the shot.
@@DeadlyKnot or its a shotgun house because you can shoot a shotgun straight through the open doors
Original tiny houses
Maybe they're squatters in the ones that are the locked??
Could be.
Shotgun house. He said gunshot..lol 0:53

Seems like w/e you can find in these places, scrappers take and sell.. or owner(s) come and get what they can get.
