Boss, just are the Boss 😂 they really do have something for everyone, and I'm loving the continuity of there interfaces when you plug almost any newish products into a computer. Simple layouts and easy to work out.
I would strongly recommend you just buy the original Boss Tube Amp Expander. I've had mine for a year and I run a Peavy 6505, Marshall JVM410H, and a Friedman Twin Sister into it and it's a real game changer and I don't even like playing my tube amps anymore without them going through the TAE first. It just sounds that much better. Plus I don't even use my very expensive pedal board anymore because the onboard effects are that good. I can take a Wangs 1 watt amp and run it into the TAE and run 2 4x12 cabinets off that little amp because of the onboard 100 watt amp in the TAE. There is seriously so many things it does the price is actually quite reasonable. Dial that tube amp into it's sweet spot and then use the TAE as the volume knob.

It seems like the core might be more practical for most people’s uses, though I’d be curious to hear more of why you prefer the full TAE. I think with the core, you can still take your 1W amp and power up to 30W, running into larger cabs with stereo effects. 30W seems like plenty of power for most situations.
@@ejlewis I am not aware of ALL the things the core model does, but for the value for the full version you get a 100 watt class AB amp, FX loop, full set of internal effects, it's a DAW, The reactive load, 6 button pedal board to control your effects and rigs or even another amp through the midi, the direct stereo outs to the house for shows, etc. All of this for the price I believe is extremely fair.
nice video Leon! quick question , if i may: i´ve noticed the Waza Core an Input from Tube Amp (in the back) indicating Max 8ohms, 100W; I have a Friedman Plex head (which does not feature master volume, hence the Core would be a useful companion for to help manage volumes and most importantly enable an fx loop) and a 16ohm 4x12 V30 cabinet speaker - in this scenario, could I simply connect one of the 8ohm speaker outputs of the Plex head into the Waza Core, and then connect the Core (its output says min 4ohm) to the 16ohm cabinet? thanks legend!
I mean yeah... It costs money to throw big components into a box to load down an amp in a good way. If it was $350 the amount of corner cutting required would make it a terrible product. You get what you pay for, there are cheap loads out there and they're generally pretty inaccurate, lack features and poorly constructed.
Yeah that's too much. You would be better off buying a used original version. They need to make a stripped down version without the power amp and effects.
To be honest i m a Little bit worried on this downsize shape ..reminds me the captor x where in fact the big resistor Is completely removed giving back fake impedance curve ...
RIP John Sykes
Shit!!! When did he die?
Legend

Quite the Swiss Army knife. And the verbs and delays are high quality. Well done.

I’m super excited for this.
Thank you, extremely helpful guidance
And you are extremely Talented
Take care my friend
I could see myself using this. I’ve been leaning toward the Fryette power station but this is a contender now.

So it makes your amp sound like a katana?
I have a rack effects looking for a interface that with work as a amp and Cabinet to connect to my workstation would it be a great option
Boss is the Boss! 😊
Great video
There's no Dual Delay feature on the SDE-3000 type?

Sykes may he keep RIP in. He always did on Earth and even better in Heaven. You're the first person I thought of.
Sad day. What a player
This is only work with 8 ohms heads?
I was wondering, why dual/triple recto is not supported
Hey man, how does this compare to the Fryette Powerstation? It looks like they do the same thing.
Power station doesn't have the fx
How does this compare to the 2 notes capture x unit sound wise?
The steps on Waza are supposed to be more gradual -if using as an attenuator.
Does this work with a combo amp or would it just be with an amp head setup?
Any tube amp with a speaker out.
@ Thank you!
Why does no one else have a video on this?
🤷
$700 though...
Isn't it about time for the bubble to burst on all these high dollar guitar gadgets?
I'd go $350 all day.

Probably gonna replace my CaptorX with this.
I’m not sure about this - the sound isn’t quite there for me
What essentials.. besides the 30w poweramp this is better than the original in every way. 64 IRs. Try doing that in the original.
The original have been updated to 32 IR slots which is enough and it supports 4, 8 and 16 ohm amp output
Cool device. No attenuator huh? I hope Boss makes the big brother still.
It does not attenuate. It loads the amp down to line level. If you use the speaker out it has a 30w power amp to drive a cab.
@@mikec8815 so, in order to use it like an attenuatior you need to use the amp in the Boss, is that correct?

You don't understand electronics.
