Fluid used: The transfer case uses 1.2L of Automatic Transmission Fluid. I used Penrite ATF LV whatever you use it must be: DEXRON®-VI, MERCON® LV. Check with your parts store.
Capacity: 1.2 Liters
Filler plug size: It varies across models. This model was a 9 mm square plug.
Torque Specs: Snug - about 20-22Nm

Great Video Thanks for making it.
The fluid plug at the bottom, I drilled a small shallow hole on the inner side of the plug and glued(fluid/oil none effected glue) a tight-fitting rare earth magnet so that in the future I will not have to disassemble the transfer case to see if there are iron fragments from wear and tare in the Transfer Case.

Last couple of Ford services [48 and 60 months, less than 75000 klms] I have had they recommend changing TC fluid because "it is dark". Seems like a a rort to upsell. Thoughts?

Transfer case is only for 4x4 right? My ford everest is 4x2 TDCi XLT. I confuse, wanna change the transmission oil

Awesome . Can you do diff oil as well as manual transmission oil change if possible . Also what oil did you use for the transfer case ? Is it the same as the diff oil?

Different models have different dampers fitted. Some have none, others small and others big. Thats a Ford question.
