Pretty sure Matchstick Men was the first I saw him in, and even against those two fantastic performances, Cage & Lohman? He still stood out in my mind. That's true talent, goddamn.
@ Leon: A few years ago Jimmy Fallon had Rockwell and Walken on the same night 'cuz they were promoting separate work at the same time. It was actually suggested by Questlove, 'cuz he's a big fan of both of the actors, that they should have the two dance. At first it was gonna just be the two of them dancing together for a few seconds by the chairs near the interview area. But Questlove and The Roots band started playing something by The Meters, and the two moved it over to the main floor spontaneously. It turned into a call and answer kind of thing between Rockwell and Walken with The Roots playing a Meters medley for about 15 minutes. Because NBC doesn't have the rights (nor permission) to the music of The Meters, it was never broadcast, and it's under serious lockdown. My wife's cousin works for the network and was able to snatch the copy of the recording long enough for us to dupe it, and then put the original back. It's off the hook, man. I wish i could share it with you. Perfect world, man...
I got idea.. Mr Rockwell and Mr Walken play a father and son dancing duo there found out that Rockwell has son .. “ Spider-Man himself “ and his also is a great dancer so they try to get him in theirs act but things doesn’t work out in different ways and so on ..
Then you may be interested to know that Sam Rockwell will playing Bob Fosse in an upcoming TV mini-series about his partnership with Gwen Verdon. That's right. Sam Rockwell will be playing Bob Fosse in an FX TV mini-series. Oh, and Michelle Williams will be playing Verdon. Yup. Michelle Williams. And, uh, oh yeah. It's produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator/writer of broadway's Hamilton. And nope... You aren't dreaming, and you haven't misread anything. And yeah... The only appropriate reaction to this information is to scream out loud HOLY FUCKIN' SHIT, THERE IS A GOD! And, then, of course, do a little Rockwell style jig. Hoping for the best...
And to think this guy could've been Iron Man. Don't get me wrong, I love Downey, but just imagine what kind of approach Rockwell would've bought to the Tony Stark character.
He's so freakin' adorable. I love the scenes where he's doing test screenings and they just ask him to put on different outfits and dance his little heart out.
I read an interview with Sam that his ritual for a scene is to dance before he does his scene. He says it relaxes him. He's such an amazing actor that if that works for he can dance anytime for me if it helps him.
What?! That was him?! Wow...I'm so glad I didn't realize that before I feel in love with his other characters. I would have had a hard time watching him too. He's such a great actor...and dancer.
COOL. NOW I am waiting for a dance trio of Sam, Christopher, and Tom...... those of us who like dance know THESE three dancing together would be a joy.👍👍👍👍
Sam Rockwell cracks me up. Such a confident mover, along with that crazy smirk on his face. Very entertaining. But he is no fool. Keep on grooving, and making us laugh, and smile, Mr Rockwell.👍🏿👍🏾👍🏽👍🏼🤗
This is incredibly entertaining. Apparently, this man Sam loves dancing so much, he will do so every second he can spare, such as between scenes and takes within scenes. I can watching him without ever thinking of the lapses of time.
Brilliant. Would you rather . . . have front-row seats to The Rolling Stones’ next concert at some resort, all-expenses paid, or a 24-hour loft dance party with Sam Rockwell (your choice of DJ)?
Sam Rockwell…legend incredible character actor and the only man I would ever want to dance with and a talent which seems to go unnoticed…um! Kinda 🇬🇧🤗🤩🕺
I am amazed by this actor. Not just for his acting and for his dancing. But because he can wear pretty much any type of clothing and make it look good! Looking forward to his role as George W! :D
I have really loved this fan video over the years. It is perfect....and to the tune of James Brown...really enjoying it this morning before heading off to work. Grateful to whoever made it.
I was so pissed. When this was playing I said to myself "They better include the Justin Hammer dance from Iron Man 2!" Then it suddenly comes on--BUT ONLY FOR HALF A SECOND??? MAAANNN, BULLSHIT!
Thanks for this , Sam Rockwell doesnt get enough recognition .Please if you have plans to update this video, add the dance from "Better Living through Chemistry"
The most underrated actor and sometimes underutilized showman. I'm a big fan of this guy
Pretty sure Matchstick Men was the first I saw him in, and even against those two fantastic performances, Cage & Lohman? He still stood out in my mind. That's true talent, goddamn.
I bet you saw him in Green Mile first. Many don't even remember that was him. I first saw him in Box of Moonlight and it's still my favorite.
fairly sure i saw matchstick men before green mile but never mind. hes awesome anyhoo
Galaxy Quest and Guy Fleegman
either way hes charming as hell, goddamn
Watching Sam Rockwell dance is natural prozac. You cannot watch him without smiling
I have never seen an actor with SOOOO much STYLE!!!! goddamn!!!
Sam rocks well.
NICE ONE
And he does it very well!😜
nice.
I’ll 223rd that
@@decomp8641 Sam does everything well.
The reason I know this world is not perfect is because there has never been a dance-off between Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken.
Leon Niemandt I've been hoping to see a lip sync battle between Sam Rockwell and Chris Tucker

They were in Seven Psychopaths together how did it not happen?
I would pay to see it happen!
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing Sam dance
Then you may be interested to know that Sam Rockwell will playing Bob Fosse in an upcoming TV mini-series about his partnership with Gwen Verdon. That's right. Me too 🥰
And to think this guy could've been Iron Man. Don't get me wrong, I love Downey, but just imagine what kind of approach Rockwell would've bought to the Tony Stark character.
Or Tyler Durden.
+Sal Khan That would've been so trippy b/c I think that Sam Rockwell and Edward Norton (who played The Narrator) look alike.
Sal Khan You kinda just ruined my life, because now I will never be complete without seeing Sam Rockwell play Tyler Durden.
More funny, less asshole?
I thought the same and also Tyler Durden
He's so freakin' adorable. I love the scenes where he's doing test screenings and they just ask him to put on different outfits and dance his little heart out.
If Sam Rockwell played a guy in a wheel chair he would still dance in the movie.
Lol, he most definitely would dance.
In the contract.
I didn't want this video to end, really.
His talent got the long due and deserved recognition. What a role on 3 Billboards - hats off, Mr. Rockwell!!!!
Him and Paul Dano are the two most most underrated actors in Hollywood.
I read an interview with Sam that his ritual for a scene is to dance before he does his scene. He says it relaxes him. He's such an amazing actor that if that works for he can dance anytime for me if it helps him.
Watching him dance is such a joyful experience
Dude's got something special in him
James Brown called it being born or blessed with the "The Funk" Sam Rockwell has "The Funk in him!.
Wow! This guy can really dance! I like his acting but now i love his dancing too!
After seeing him in “The Green Mile” I had a hard time wanting to watch him again. So glad I did; he’s one of the best actors for a generation!
What?! That was him?! Wow...I'm so glad I didn't realize that before I feel in love with his other characters. I would have had a hard time watching him too. He's such a great actor...and dancer.
I had a hard time getting passed that role too. Thats how you know theyre GOOD!
Yeah, that performance still freaks me out 😳
Me too. I've never been able to watch anything else with him. All I see is creepy but maybe I'll try.
@@hockeymom49721 do it. He is a very good actor.
I can’t stop watching. One of the best and underrated actors ever. The man can dance too lol
I will always love him for Charlie’s Angels and for Galaxy Quest
The first time I noticed Jim was in Galaxy Quest. He was hilarious.
@@lynnhardigree2806 i was talking about Sam
Congratulations to Sam Rockwell on his first Oscar Nomination and Win!
I couldn't stop smiling.
Excellent edit! 12 years later, still rocks... well.
Gary Oldman cloned himself to stay young, and then took some dance lessons.
That's what I've said - Sam Rockwell is the American Gary Oldman; they can do anything and be great at it.
Funny you mention that. Both won their first Oscar the same night
I’ve always said it!
🤣🤣🤣
naraicks, that is a witty and a very much on the money description. Congrats!
Sam Rockwell is one of the greatest actors/dancers I've ever seen.
He also has some great moves in Mr. Right.
COOL. NOW I am waiting for a dance trio of Sam, Christopher, and Tom...... those of us who like dance know THESE three dancing together would be a joy.👍👍👍👍
What about also adding Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the mix, and yes I know I'm 2 years late.
can i please, see chris walken, and sam rockwell dance together before one of us die of old age?? sigh...
I really expected it in 7 Psychopaths. They blew that chance. :(

Fan for life.
Much love and respect. A legend... One of a kind.
I'm in love with him. Especially when he dances. I could watch him dance everyday.
Just another reason why he is and will always be my favorite actor. I'll always remember that scene in Lawn Dogs with "Dancing in the Dark."
I, I am, really, big fan of... that dancer!
I have had the biggest crush on this guy since I was 11
The boy can dance. Most underrated actor in Hollywood.
We need Sam Rockwell and Tom Hiddleston in a dance movie the likes of Blades of Glory.
Allison one: that would be too epic and two : then the story gonna be awesome and not like that.. movie.. 🤢
I'd watch it.
Agree. Both very sexy dancers..
I love Sam Rockwell ❤
I love this so much!
Now that’s a rockin white boy, shout out form Brooklyn, New York. !,
This is incredibly entertaining. Apparently, this man Sam loves dancing so much, he will do so every second he can spare, such as between scenes and takes within scenes. I can watching him without ever thinking of the lapses of time.

You have no idea how I adore this. I want to dance like him ;D
Best video ever since you made it. Never take it down.
Rockwell was great as Fosse.
He is the coolest. There is nothing better than seeing a good actor that also knows how to move.
Brilliant. Would you rather . . . have front-row seats to The Rolling Stones’ next concert at some resort, all-expenses paid, or a 24-hour loft dance party with Sam Rockwell (your choice of DJ)?
I'll take the Stones, I could never keep up with Rockwell.
His dancing scene in Iron Man 2 is my favorite of his performances.
The Restaurant at the end of the Universe.... priceless.😎🤯🌏🌎🌍🛸😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sam Rockwell…legend incredible character actor and the only man I would ever want to dance with and a talent which seems to go unnoticed…um! Kinda 🇬🇧🤗🤩🕺

Just got me through the quarantine! Thank you and thanks to Mr. Rockwell 😁!
He's such an outstanding actor would love to see him much more
His performance in moon is Oscar worthy beyond belief
This is beautiful. I just shed a single tear.
There is a little bit of dancing in the ring, and on the stairs in Welcome To Collinwood, too.
Yes Collinwood! Love it
He's a scene stealer in every movie he's been in. Love Sam!!!
Nice nice nice editing on the beats.. Thx 4 upload :)
nicely edited!
What a treat this video is, thank you for this video.
this is one of the best comments on any video I've seen in a while
Which comment?
Justin Hammer scene in ironman 2 was by far his best.
Should have been included here.
It has it for a couple of seconds
I was so pissed. When this was playing I said to myself "They better include the Justin Hammer dance from Iron Man 2!" Then it suddenly comes on--BUT ONLY FOR HALF A SECOND??? MAAANNN, BULLSHIT!
I LOVE watching him dance!
Thanks! You made me watch it again, just to see him on there. He doesn't. Heck he looks more like Dean Stockwell in this movie, haha! He's awesome.
That was awesome. I knew he could move, but not that good. He's got the feeling. Woohoo!
Such a 70s vibe. I love it.
Somewhere, James Brown is watching this vid on a loop with a big smile on his face and a scotch in his hand, chuckling.
he is wonderful with long hair
Not only a good actor but a good dancer too!
45 people probably wear gold chains and white leisure suits to the nightclub and can't dance a single step.
Excellent video!
Thanks for this , Sam Rockwell doesnt get enough recognition .Please if you have plans to update this video, add the dance from "Better Living through Chemistry"
Sam Rockwell for Galactic President - he's already been on the Mothership of Funk
Outstanding ! He can bust a move ! 👀
I love to see him dance!!🥰🥰🥰
I was once told I looked like Sam Rockwell, too bad I can't dance like him. Holy shit, guy is talented!
