I second that. He is the most deserving candidate for XY's love. He always helped her no matter the situation. I feel it amusing that XY claims she loves Jing but always runs to Xiang Lu whenever she needs help. Whenever she was in danger Xiang Lu was the first who came to her mind and not Jing.
Not all relationship must be about intimate love. There are some people you can always run to because you see them as true friends. Beside Xiang Liu always help Jing because he knows that she loves Jing

You probably didn't read the novel, but don't forget - YY and Jing are not humans. While there are humans in the story - and which is why XY felt it was more important to teach humans and immortal doctors herbs/healing first - but she believed that now that her brother, her adopted father, and her grandfather, the most powerful in the realm, are all at peace with each other, who could prevent her and Jing's wedding? XY believed she and Jing would have a long almost immortal life together with no one having the power over her brother, father, and grandfather to harm them. In essence, for the first time, she truly believed in Jing and the hope he represented in her life - that she could be happy. She could open her heart, have someone who she loves and loves her, and her ill fate and suffering can finally be over.

She should treasure Jing not afterwards. Anyway, even Yang zi is a good actress, she cry’s so much and I don’t get affection from her.. doesn’t matter you are immortal or human, doesn’t matter how long you live, I think we all need to live the moment and treasure whoever love you, especially Jing has been waiting for so long, she still chooses to work on the book instead of marrying him. She gets what she wants…
@@minigarden8174 You are entitled to your opinion as that your view on love. But I personally think Jing deserves to wait for XY - men and women should be equal in a love relationship. He made her promise to wait for him for 15 years, then made her wait so long even after that - IMO, he deserves to do the same and wait for her. This actually helps their relationship. The other big reason is her brother just became the ruler for all three nations and needs as much support/political points as possible to stabilize his rule. That's why XY gave all the credit to her brother so people think it was all his idea and he is magnanimous ruler.

XY admitted that it’s her mistake or immature behavior caused JING fell trap on hou and Yiying… just as you said that in relationship it took both side tango together. XY didn’t help Jing when Jing actually needed her help. That’s why she had to wait.. it’s the consequence she needed to suffer…I thought she lived for hundreds of years, went through a lot, she still didn’t get mature enough.. she takes Jing’s love for granted…I am a human and went through tremendous trauma in my life, our human being lives is so short and in such short life, I understand I should not take anything for granted and be positive and forgiven. I just don’t get it, after she got way more than a human could possibly get in our life, she crys, crys.. still complain about her childhood, her parents.. come on, average Joe doesn’t get a fraction of her power, longevity, high racking status, love got from most powerful people, she still not satisfied…that’s why second series disappointed me…the actors are performing well, just the script itself has bug…we make our own choices and should be able to bear the consequences..俗话说“种瓜得瓜 种豆得豆”。XY deserves what she wishes for…she has choices in front of her, she prioritizes other things ahead of Jing.. she blames her mother didn’ protect her, her mom left her in Yu Shan, she is the one left Yu Shan, then suffered a lot of pain later on… I make choices in my life, I bear all the consequences because I know it’s my decision. Although always have reasons for the decisions, there are always have choices, just depends on which ones you pick leading to the outcomes in the life, bad or good, we have to swallow them all..

They are both flawed, and that is due to their childhood experiences. Jing is not weak when he can't hurt or kill his brother. And XY does not take Jing's love for granted - she just doesn't know how to trust another's love and had to learn how to trust. I pity XY more because she never complained nor wanted any of these men. They were the ones who crashed into her life and in many ways matured her, yet made her suffer further. I definitely don't agree that she cries and cries. In fact, if anything, I wished she whined and complained more. She is just too understanding and good of others, always asking herself if she did something wrong. I am biased to XY, since I am also a mother and I can completely understand how the lack of love growing up for XY molded her personality and perception of the world. I would never want my child to be abandoned and deprived of the love and care XY experienced. It's a wonder she grew up so well. Likewise, Jing grew up well too - but he has his family/wealth/position, and was loved and cared for, at least until his mother died. He was already an adult then - so his psyche was already formed.
I really hate when they do a move adaptation of a book into a movie/ drama/tv show. Why are they adding irrelevant stuff and taking away things that were relevant from the book. Lost You Forever was just fine the way that it was written in the novel.

Yes, the producers’s favouritism made him look weak and useless and also cut a lot of his scenes (all important scenes).
