    Great video!
Queen Louise often visited her family in the UK. While there, she loved going shopping incognito. Because of the London traffic, and the risk of being hit by a vehicle, she always carried a card in her handbag that said "I am the Queen of Sweden".

King Gustav VI Adolf had great foresight to marry Queen Louise, being that she is the aunt of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and sister of Louis Earl Mountbatten of Burma. When King Gustav VI Adolf married her in 1923, this was before Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II were both born.

Queen Louise of Sweden and Princess Alice, Prince Philip's mother were sisters, daughters of Princess Victoria of Hesse.

@@danielaxivitz6188 I meant it was before they were even Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. I know he died when he was 99 in 2021, so I think I have mastered math basics. Elizabeth was born in 1926, but I hope you get the point before everything was set in motion. The marriage was a master stroke because, at the time, Crown Prince Gustav Adolf had no one way of knowing that he would be Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth's uncle by marriage.

@@danielaxivitz6188 True, I didn't catch myself on Prince Philip's date of birth, but a small
oversite. King Gustav VI Adolf was someone unquestionably a remarkable person, and of course, he saw the advantages of marrying a Mountbatten.

She was queen when I was born in january 1964, so she was my queen for a year. You said she was a democrat at heart, For my part I think that our Swedish monarchy is very important for our country, and I see no contradiction between democray and a constitutional monarchy. On the contrary-when the head of state is a monarch and a good part of the peoples loyalty is with the monarch that can contribute to hamper ambitions of politicians who want to get "too powerful". In Spain king Juan Carlos is said to have saved the Spanish democray in 1981.

Given that Louise had to renouce her Princess title and become known as Lady Louise Mountbatten, why did her sister, Alice (the mother of HRH The Prince Philip) remain known as Princess Alice?

Princess Alice retained the title because she had married Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark in 1903, thus she lost her title Princess of Battenberg but retained her Greek and Danish titles.

Charles surely takes after his Mountbatten relatives. As Charles ages, he looks like his Uncle Dickie (Louis Mountbatten), brother of Queen Louise.
